I predict that this will be the reason i play video games ;)
June 12 is the day i forget about this console war crap and play the game that is the reason i bought a ps3 in the first place...
....Precision?...E-swat had really good precision...i swear everytime you shoot..the bullet would go STRAIGHT across the screen in a very straight line without fail. ...good precision that game had.
So that means big brother the tv show is awesome..........

I HATE in-game ...dialogue or cut scenes a la Assassins creed....I cant believe how utterly DULL that is...Id just pace up and down while that old a$$hole would ramble on about something....Worst gaming technique ever.

metal gear solid games are always completely different (except mgs2's concious similarities to mgs1). But they all look like completely different and mgs4 is no exception....I mean..look at 1 picure of mgs4 compared to mgs 1 2 or 3 - Nothing alike.

I think alot of what your saying rings true....however its starting to change.....I think devs are working their heads around the tech first before trying to be too inventive. But...Afrika, Mirrors edge, Metal gear, assassins creed(to an extent) and titles like LA noir look to me quite innovative.
There's alot of the same old sh!t around though aswell.

Besides all these 10s that have been dished out are just ridiculous....Halo 3 doesnt deserve a 10..nor GTA4.....All the best games have been rated lower....SOTC..MGS...BIOSHOCK. .etc.etc....so im proud that MGS isnt just another over rated piece of 10...
you guys have to keep in mind, they had to keep it relevent, and not over complicate things(what are they gona do, spend half an hour trying to explain that the solid series started with mgs1 but there were other games some on msx with snake but there was one without kojima and some not released in America...I mean seriously?)
... Im sure they were on a time limit aswell...I think they did a good summary of what happened to give people a quick rundown on the plot line.
I was genuinly excited for 8 days...the concept was very intriguing...
Its definatly a let-down.
the animations blew me away... Id love to see that level of in game animation in all my games.
I can imagine having to find really rare animals and trying to get pictures of them without effing up And getting rewarded well, when you do....If its realistic, and immersive, id defiantly buy it!
LOL...you dont have to play MGS4 to know its going to be amazing...Just play any of the previous games and youll know... i would agree with you if we were talking about mediocre developers or something...but this game is 20 years in the making...20 years of history, 4 years of hard work...
