People buy consoles for games like Cod6 and GTA. And if johnny wants to play gta then the cheaper better running version perhaps with exclusive content is the 360 version
i see nothing wrong with MS courting 3rd party defacto exclusives if mutli platform games consistently run better on 360, sell better on 360 and have better online communities on 360.

Games that dont sell get drastic price drops so that retailers can clear inventory. simple as that.

COD4 For example on both 360 and ps3 is unplayable for aussies because of the matchmaking. if we cant get a local host you may as well not bother. Gears 2 ... is horrible and left 4 dead a glitch is needed to get a green bar game.
I read on the AUS xbox forums that the gears 2 devs flat out told forum posters that they arent going to implement a local search feature because our population is too small to justify. I felt like trading that game in the next day.

It was the introduction of the gimp ps3 model. 2 usbs, no BC and no card readers. Then they went and made the gimp model the only one you can buy!! Way to stab ps2 owners in the back.

i feel for my lock brethren. From release day till about patch 1.9 locks where "gimp" and any undead player could faceroll them for an easy HK. There was a brief period at patch 2.0 where they shined but the nerfbat came and they are back to bottom teir once again.
And i STILL think Rogues where more OP than DKS ever have been, but blizz doesnt seem to touch the golden classes much. Too many rogue players to piss off it seems.

Played about an hour of Shadow of the colossus and was so bored i gave up on the first boss, But GT series is my most played ps2 era franchise. Wont touch prologue because i think its unethical to sell a glorified demo but awaiting any tidbits of real release with bated breath.
Both LBP and GT5P recieved bundles so.... you fail at rebuttals.

If sony choose not to compete that's their folly. They bought the exclusive for mirrors edge dlc iirc, so its not like they are totally against the idea.
If one guy can buy dlc, exclusives, demos etc then good on them. That's how the business world works im afraid. Crying about it to the press doesn't help your situation.
I guess the saying is true. You cant miss what you never had. I have howver been using live for a year now and whenever i logon to psn, its failings become immediately apparent.
I think $50 a year is worth it just for the fact that 99% of people on live have a headset either from their console or live subby. I have played full warhawk games with no one talking and that game came bundled with a headset!
If your mainly a single player gamer maybe live isn't worth it to...

In my experience, firmware updates are the worst. bloody thing can take hours! i dont understand how they take sooooo much longer on ps3 than on 360, as i assume im getting both files from a server in america somewhere.
