You are hardly gonna hear a sony first party trash ps3 development. those hats full of cash sony give them to keep making games kinda prevent it.
3rd parties are a different story.

i hope he comes to sydney. i would love go to an event. i have loved his games and sunk 100's of hours into source engine mods.
And steam is a shining beacon of hope for australian gamers, offering US dollar pricing and usually same day release dates. Orange box for $120 AU in a store or $45 on steam!

-slow
-crashes
-runs out of ram
-doesnt display pages correctly
-Annoying plugin popups all the time
-and did i mention.... sloooooooow!
i wont miss it. I have my PC to browse the web and thats the way i likes it. i doubt the consoles of this gen have the ram to run modern browsers anyway.

No region filter/local search feature ala COD5 = no console buy. you fooled me once Infinity ward but its clear you dont care about the connection quality of non US gamers.
And really the PC version has all the aces.
Server browser, mouse + kb, native 1080p at 125 fps, custom maps/server options.
1080p > 600p
As some one who was kinda getting into halo 3 MP in the weeks before ODST, the map pack alone made it worth while to me.
Also in Australia at least the game is not "full price" as the RRP for most games here is $120. I bought my new copy of ODST for $68 which in US dollars is basically the same price you paid when the currency is converted but half of what most games sell for here.
so horde mode + maps + campaign make it a decent purchase at least for me. ...

n4g is a good example of groupthink. The odst articles are a bit extreme with 40 disgruntled ps3 fans calling it a 4 hour dlc rehash for every one interested gamer.
the forza VS GT debacle as well.
PS3 faithful is the only "accepted" group on n4g, which is a sad thing for a gaming site indeed.
i like martyrdom purely because it punishes run and gunners. The only time you ever should be killed by it is if you are stun grenaded and cant run away in time.

yup the 275 has being doing its job admirably. just tried the Arkham asyum demo @ max settings and physx running 1080p res.. Worth every penny!
280 and 295 buyers did kinda get the shaft but ah well most early adopters of any tech do. im sure your card is serving you well. As for poor ATI... 4890s have too many driver issues for me to bother with.
