I imagine initially it will drive up subscriptions and that will be their focus. Once new subscriptions slow down, annual cost will creep up. Unless there is a suitable alternative to keep pressure on them.

That's just my take though, I got no idea how big business works.

It's a pity as when it is all running well, it's a fun game... one I prefer to Diablo 3. But yeah, they keep tarring it every chance they get.

They couldn't. It would be the exact same as the past 3 with cherry blossoms in the environment.

Agreed, rather they put out something impressive than half baked. But I do wish they would remove it from the "coming soon" on gamespass, it has been on the list as if it is a playable game for about 6 months now.

Not for me, I struggle to get through Souldborne games, I only saw Bloodborne until the end credits. I am personally more eager for HFW and reviews pending, will be picking this up on launch. (I will be shocked if the reviews are negative).

I peeped it, frame skipped a bit, saw it looked great... but didn't "watch it". I think you got the right idea. Cracking open the penny jar for this one.

After a rocky start, I have come to really enjoy playing my XSX... and I will say it, it's because of gamespass. I have played a lot of titles I wouldn't have given a chance and there have been some real gems. It steered me into playing a lot more Indie titles which I am really glad to have done.

Oh yeah, I got no shame mate. I spent ages unlocking Hyabusa back in the day. I spent ages getting the gold splash screen to Soul Caliber on Dreamcast. Back then I didn't have to pay (which I way prefer), but I guess that's why they turned it all into MTX... suckers like me.

Yeah I imagine it would drop. The whole system works on what's popular in the playground. What's the "it" cosmetic. If nobody saw them, sales would certainly drop. I am sure some people would purchase anyway of course.

Sorry to say, I honestly don't think a company would adopt your suggestion for this reason. To them, revenue comes first, if your idea generated more income... then it would be adopted.

People like what they like. Doesn't matter on age or gender, if you like it, enjoy it. You got 1 life to live.

I am technically a millenial from way before Samurai Pizza Cats came TV? I turn 40 in a year. You might have your generations mixed up :)

People can't FOMO if they can't see it mate. FOMO = money.

I am a superficial f*** (I bought the battlepass and try to pick up all the freebies like this past weekends twitch giveaways)... But I still agree with everything you say. I am having a lot of trouble doing anything but the MP, it's so addicting, the most fun I have had in a fair few years. I have been saying I am not a MP gamer for years, focusing only on story focused single player and co-op experiences, but this release is making me eat my words.

I manage to get through around 20 games I imagine. Some titles I play are fairly short though as I enjoy a lot of indie offerings as well as AAA. I am currently playing through Firewatch which I suspect won't take me many evenings.
Some games I try and don't like (Back4Blood is one), others I try but burn out before the end on (Dragon Age Inq). Overall though I get through a great deal of them and have a great time playing at least a couple of games in a month.

I've been playing online since I got dial-up. Xbox LIVE was by far the most stable and solid platform in terms of console online gaming when it came out. Before that, online on console was sketchy at least here in the UK. My Dreamcast was a lottery whether I could get online with Phantasy Star that day or not. LIVE just seemed to "work" and created a nice easy ecosystem for linking up with your friends across different games.

I've been playing through the PS+ one and feeling salty I couldn't upgrade (without paying the full wack)... this is great news as I am going to happily upgrade :D

You're getting a lot of disagrees, but I think you're right. But my childhood was the Sega Master System and Megadrive era, and they were the best games.

I skipped it myself assuming it was just another Ubisoft open world formulaic experience. Is that not the case?

I played Valhalla... that was very classic Ubi formular and put me off of buying any for a while.

I think you can still enjoy a game and not see it until the end. I am not a completionist myself, I will play a game until I am done with it, sometimes that means not seeing the end credits. That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy my time with it, the time I did spend I likely would have had a blast.
