This game has surpassed my expectations. I am finding the gameplay loop really addictive and also loving the delivery of a storyline on what I thought was just a straight up clone of other GAAS games.
It's slick to play and reminds me of how games felt on DreamCast.
Whether it's fun or not isn't the issue. It looks dull, I've watched the trailers and I don't really get the hook... So I haven't engaged with it.
I agree with Kaozz1979. It's ok to put down a game when it gets boring. If you're enjoying it, that's all good too.
I wouldn't mind a new Killzone universe game come of think of it... I'd like to see Playstation create at least 1 FPS this gen.
Not 100% new game, but Creed on PSVR2 is a lot of fun if you get the opportunity.
I can't speak for FF16, I haven't played it. But I do agree GOW 2018 was the better of the two games, Ragnarok held my interest to story completion, but I didn't fancy mopping up everything I missed in the endgame. 2018, I had to do everything.
I own one for extended work travel. It's dead handy in that sense, but I do not use it at home.
It's also better when it doesn't take up any space on your HDD. I gave it a go, it's boring.
These are the guys who had to put a train as an NPCs head to animate it in the past don't forget ;)

They currently have access to so many different studios and development teams, but they all feel in isolation.
Take for example the positive impact the Decima engine and Kojima Productions had on Horizon Forbidden west.
They have studios like The Coalition and Playground games who are capable of incredibly optimised experiences, seeing that knowledge bleed out into others (arcane, bethesda game studi...
I am not as concerned. I do enjoy Bungies gameplay loops and as long as there is a good enough value proposition... money going in/fun to be had, then I'll be fine.
The issue is a lot of live service games simply to not have the right balance.
Sadly I think you're right. I've been a long term supporter, but it died. It didn't help with that awful TV show as well... had they nailed that in the same way The Last of Us did, it would have built at least some hype towards a future game.
I still think Halo is IP gold. I just don't think they know how to deliver on it.

I want them to review quest markers. I found towards the game their was a lot of map litter for filler quests, I'd like them to lean into the wind more and make things feel a bit more like self discovery. A bit like Elden Ring, just a rough idea there is stuff in that direction.
It makes me sad to agree... but at the same time I am looking forward to giving it a go. Destiny 2 is so far in, I find it difficult to figure out what I am meant to do first.
They're in a tough spot. This game needs to deliver, if it isn't ready and it delivers anything less than perfection then they'll be chastised. But if they delay to make it perfect, this year goes by completely dry and they'll be chastised.
