I felt like Mortal Kombat Deception was more innovative then the new Mortal Kombat! The new mortal Kombat has a old school feel to it while MK Deception gameplay felt fresher and newer. Its no secret that I like 3D fighters games a lot more but come on its 2012 and this is the way all fighting games should be in 3D. No offense to 2D fighters its just that era should be over now.
I wouldn't call it a modern day game because the gameplay is 2D. For some reason I thought Mortal Kombat deception gameplay was more modern and people forget that game was a 3D fighter like DOA
