I think Game Informer have the right idea, saving their judgement for a later date. I have my pre-order for the game and its released here in the UK on Friday. I for one can't wait, it looks great fun and I've heard from a friend of who has the game in the US that its a blast...
I agree, Mass Effect 2 was a dissapointment in comparison to the original, it attempted to be a Third Person Shooter, and being a Gears of War player, it didn't have a chance of competing...
I liked Conviction, and it slightly looks as though in the background of the first pic the Wall objectives are returning. However, I love the entire franchise so which ever game it follows gameplay wise it'll be great. Hoping for an E3 Announcement...
People want a reliable service, being left without Online access to games could be deemed as unacceptable for some. Really, I would call those without multiple consoles "dumb".

My opinion may be biased towards the Gears of War franchise as it is my favourite, but I genuinly, along with many others, agree that Uncharted's shooting mechanics are lousy. We already knew the Call of Duty Online theory wasn't correct. I mean, Activision, releasing something for free?! No chance...
That's what I'm worried about. I wouldn't mind seeing what happens with Soap and Price but I don't see much point in learning the past of Ghost, it won't progress the story in any manner. He's dead now, therefor we wouldn't be learning anything of any use...

EDIT: If it's titled Modern Warfare 3, can we expect it to be a direct sequel? I know there's a lot of evidence pointing towards a prequel but surely calling the title 3 would imply a continuation...

The Modern Warfare Storylines are quite good, Infinity Ward were brilliant designers of characters and were capable of creating engaging plotlines and characteristics, however, Black Ops' story was just recycled elements of films...
