Lol, same here. I was just sitting here thinking to myself if I wanna try to pre-order on Amazon and await UPS delivery..., try to reserve at a brick and mortar Gamestop, or do the overnight thing. I'm hoping to get in an early preorder at my local Gamestop, and if not, Amazon will be option #2. I waited in the rain and cold for 8 hours to get my 360 and it is not an experience I wish to repeat.
I wish they would start publishing a real changelog to go along with these updates. I'm so tired of seeing "improves system software stability".
This. They didn't shock the world with this announcement, as this has been rumored for some time now. It's simply an Android Gamecenter type service, not a console. My Nexus 4 is ready.
From the article: "[WWF No Mercy] was a great start towards what would end up being a better game, Wrestlemania 2000."
Obviously this guy's memory isn't too great since he thinks WWF No Mercy came out before Wrestlemania 2000.
OMG, I can't wait for this.
If that FF15/v13 rumor turns out to be true and it launches anywhere within 1-2 years of the PS4's life cycle, I don't see how Microsoft counters that... Indeed E3 is going to be ridiculous.
I just watched the trailer and I can't see what's wrong with it...Do the lyrics not tie into the theme/gameplay of Battlefield? Do the potential players of this game feel that their masculinity is challenged because they listened to a Rihanna hook during a preview of their favorite title?
I hope they use Trinidad James - All Gold Everything just to piss off the world with their next trailer lol.
Agreed. For me, it's something like this:
PS1>PS2>Dreamcast> > > >everything else. I don't think any of the current gen consoles deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as the PS1 & PS2.
Agreed. If Sony didn't originally plan to announce the PS4 on that date, then they are now. They would not want the negative press that would result from this kind of anticipation/excitement. I can't say they'll show off the hardware, but you better believe they will make the product official and show what games they have for launch and in the pipeline. They could reserve the hardware for E3.
@r21
Not many that I'm interested in that have a release date/timeframe, unfortunately.
Gravity Rush-6/12: Might get at some point.
MGS HD Collection-6/12: Own the PS2 collection.
Lego Batman-6/19: Nope
Sound Shapes: No thanks
Madden 13-8/28: Bought this 7 years ago.
Fifa 13-9/17: Not a soccer fan
Persona 4-Fall: Atlus Fanboy
LBP-??: Will buy
Silent Hill BOM-10/1: WTF is this Konami?
...
Yup, Sony really dropped the ball, but I can't say I'm too surprised. When it came time for them to make or break the Vita and instill consumer/developer confidence in their Vita support, they failed. Getting ready to put mine back in the box until Persona launches...Very expensive paperweight.
@1.1.7 Same thing happened to me. I remember getting on the school bus and my friend showed me Kingdom Hearts in EGM. I couldn't believe he was showing me a Disney game, so I definitely clowned him for it. Then the game came out and it became one of my favorite series ever. I have all the games except Birth By Sleep because S-E won't put it on the damn PSN store so I can download it on Vita. This news here must be the reason why.
How about an actual ESPN presentation, along with a half time show that includes replays of the first half commentated by Chris Berman? Madden still sucks at presentation and looks nothing like the NFL does on television. EA has the ESPN license and does absolutely nothing with it.
Just caught some of the game play on Spike. Looks interesting, but I'll have to see more. The producer of the game also mentioned there's a final boss, which the team had a lot of conversation about, but that PlayStation fans would be happy. I've got my money on Sephiroth. Idk if there's any other character that would make more sense.
LMFAO, very true. I haven't really tuned in since The Rock and Stone Cold stopped wrestling full time, but it does appear to have gone downhill tremendously.
Agreed. I simply can't take smartphone "gaming" seriously. I have quite a few games on all my Android phones, including GTA3, but I've never played any of them longer than maybe 10 minutes at the most. Maybe I just have an incredibly short attention span for the more "casual" type of games, but the real issue is just as you said; having no real tactile feedback does not produce a very enjoyable experience. The Xperia Play is quite cool though.
Remember how Squaresoft released FF7, 8, 9, 10, Chrono Cross, Xenogears, and Musashi all within four years of each other? It took us that amount of time after the PS3's release just to see FFXIII on shelves.
The ridiculous development costs and time requirements that this generation of consoles introduced have certainly hurt the JRPG genre and their developers, large and small. By the time Versus or Persona 5 release, we'll probably already have release dates for all...
Wish they would get rid of the corny vocalized theme songs and bring back that Uematsu music that made Final Fantasy what it is.
Awesome news. Cant wait for more info.
Man I've been having the same "symptoms" as you lol. I once owned a 3DS, but sold it during the first year game draught. However, Target had a $30 off deal on the 3DS XL last week and I had to pick it. So far I'm loving it. So many great games have launched since I sold it and a lot more are on the horizon. My poor Vita...
