I agree. When we look back there's no question Vista will be seen in the same light as ME (it already is in most peoples' eyes). I think it all boils down to bad timing on MS's part. XP still had plenty of years left in it and the issue with the underpowered laptops and slow benchmark results messed up Vista's reputation pretty early in its life. When it comes to performance, ME did have its issues, but I find Vista to be a very nice and stable OS. It seems like the community at large wanted ...

That's because 97% of the people complaining about Vista or ME never actually used either OS, they just read about them on the internet. And if they did, it was probably on a new laptop that didn't meet specifications and boots up with 178 programs running in the background like Dell is fond of doing.

Yes, this game does look gorgeous...when compared to PS2/Xbox/GC games that were released 6 years ago. I did dust off the Wii earlier this morning so my little cousin could play Wii Sports. Then he went back to the Fisher-Price Smart Cycle.

I don't see the problem here. My brother Buzz has tons of stab wounds inflicted by me because he's always eating all the cheese pizza before I can get a slice. So a stabbing and choking over a PS2 is easily justifiable.
The type of 3D being referred to here is where you put on glasses and the image seems to pop out of your TV screen. 4D is a feature coming in PS3 firmware 3.00 that allows time manipulation. If you're playing a game and you suddenly notice it's time for work/school, you press the PS button 4 times and you'll skip past those activities without ever knowing you left the house.
In addition to crushing pretty much every game released this year, it's also one of the funniest games I've played. We need more Mr. Morookas in the gaming world.
I used Halo 3 to learn how to destroy these two burglars that kept breaking into my house every night at 9:00pm. Excellent combat simulator.
I don't even think this is debatable. MGS4 has the best graphics of any console game, but Gears 1 held that title previously.

I agree with Able. It's way too early to call where this generation will end up, but so far, it's easily my least favorite as well. There's a few games that stand out after 2/3 years of the new systems, but if you rewind back to the same point in the PS2/Xbox/GC lifetime, the current gen looks ridiculous. There were many classics out by this point.
I'm gonna buy it this week even though I won't play it until I'm done with Persona 4.
