Agreed. I think it may be too late in the PSP's lifecycle to attempt to implement something like this, but it should definitely be in their plans for the PSP2.
I remember finding out the PSP FW 2.0 downgrade had been released a few years ago while I was in a class. As soon as the professor turned his back, I hauled ass out of the lecture just so I could finally play SNES on PSP. I wish someone would hurry and find a way to bypass the PS3's hypervisor so people can utilize all the hardware in Linux. Sony heavily touted the PS3's ability to use Linux and then the system launches and it's Linux capabilities are extremely half-assed, with no real GPU a...
They could easily just come up with some kind of proprietary storage solution like the Dreamcast GD-ROM. Or even better, just use the HD-DVD format for storage since it's already a completed spec.
Obviously a lie. I'm 100% sure that some of MS's closest developers were already given some kind of very rough specifications to work with. 720 and maybe even PS4 launch titles are already in the making (or will be within the next year), even if they're just in the initial planning stages if they want to launch somewhere between 2010-2013.
Narutone, you should check out this post if you haven't already: http://www.n4g.com/tech/New... Still not native MKV playback, but the program works wonderfully at transcoding HD MKVs and every other movie file type I've tried, on-the-fly. Just wish I had started using it earlier.
Mostly PS3 since I use it for all multiplatform games and my media streaming needs. 360 I mainly play when an exclusive title is out, Wii is never played, and with PSP and DS I go through periods of time where I don't play either of them and then all of a sudden I realize how many games I need to catch up on. About to start on Chrono Trigger DS.
They should just give him a kit. It's not like they're giving him some kind of super secret info/tools, since the DS is already hacked enough for anyone to do what they please with it. He just wants his code to be official. Sure, the way he's going about it now (especially the threats) may not be the best approach, but after that much work he's probably lost a bit of his sanity. Now he's probably building a bomb to wipe the NOA headquarters off the map lol.
I think the target render fiasco is the best thing that could have happened for GG and Killzone 2. Because of the standards the trailer set, I think the KZ2 we'll be playing will be a far better game than what we would have ended up with otherwise. It also created tons of hype that wouldn't likely be there due to opinions of the first title.
If you know what you're doing and you look around enough, I'm sure you can find out how to keep the beta for as long as you like :)
True, it's not unexpected, but I hate that so many current gen games are 10 hours or less. Makes it harder and harder to justify spending $60. Having multiplayer is not an excuse to skimp out on the single player mode imo. Not saying the KZ2 devs are guilty of this, as I'm sure the game will be great, but most developers out there are. PS4 and 720 games will prob be 3 hours max and people will still buy them.
Check out how different he looks in just a year's time: http://latimesblogs.latimes...
Both really. It uses much of the same code that Vista used, but Vista was basically a half-assed release of this code (though still a good OS imo). Windows 7 is the completed OS that Vista would have been if they'd spent 2 extra years finishing it up. I'm enjoying the 32-bit version of 7 so I don't think I'll touch the 64-bit until hearing about its compatibility.
Can't believe there will be no more EGM, but then again, it was expected with all the recent print media closures. I used to get off the school bus and rush to the mailbox every few weeks hoping a new issue was awaiting me.
From Schrade on the Neogaf forums: http://i41.tinypic.com/2h5n... The game looks ridiculous though (in a good way). I don't know if it's the animation, the lighting, or some kind of filter they're using (I guess a combination of all three), but there's something about the game that makes it have a more realistic look than most other games.
Nice. I'm gonna be picking up Dora Saves the Snow Princess.
I prefer push to talk. I mean what if my dad comes in the room and yells at me for playing with his glue gun or for not picking up all my Micro Machines off the floor? I don't want my whole team to hear that conversation if I forget to push the mute button.
The only cooler you need for the PS3 is the massive heatsink and fan that's already installed in the system.
So people who actually pay for their Windows OS's actually exist in the real world? I thought they were a myth.
I haven't had the chance to watch Degeneration yet, but if you want a great movie to usher in your new year, watch Troll 2. Quite possibly the greatest movie ever made.
Most of the more recent Square-Enix ports/remakes and such aren't even being made by them, but are being outsourced to companies like Tose and Matrix. Tose was also behind the Chrono Trigger DS port. This article talks about it: http://www.1up.com/do/featu...
