I would have to say I agree with you completely if these numbers are real for just xbox.
You don't know how much this is costing Microsoft, or how much they've spent on any of their other games, or how many other games are actually being made at this exact moment. So even though the past track record isn't necessarily a very good one, that still doesn't mean it's all doom gloom and shit.

I bought mine and I only have a 1080p tv.
The super-sampling does wonders for the games, I can only Imagine how nice a 4k tv will be when I get one.
But then again I'm getting a 55 inch LG oled tv, so I decided to get the console first, and then I'll shell out the $1,500+ for the tv I want.
Anyone hating on the supersampling has no idea what they are talking about.
