Yeah it's actually better for the developer in some ways.
With traditional sales, you have to hope people want to BUY your game to get any of their money.
This way basically guarantees money in the short AND long term for the developer.
Would you as a business man rather have to face the retail market with per unit sales? Or get royalties/revenue that more or less evens out in the grand scheme of things? OR would you rather have BOTH revenue ...
Sorry, let me clarify a bit more.
Nobody I ever met talked about the first two metal gear games.
But everybody loved and talked about or knew about metal gear solid.
I always felt that was the beginning of the Series' renown and And when it became a "classic" in my eyes.
More like the first two games in the Metal Gear series weren't all that memorable. So the BEST one in the series at that point is bound to naturally stand out by default.

We don't even know why this happened yet, but I find it funny that Names, (something we all have) are not really all that private in the first place... EXCEPT on the internet.
In almost every other aspect, it is actually pretty much the norm to use, share, and disclose not only First names, but also Last names.
I don't see any real issues arising from this, but of course, I could be wrong....

TBH, This is not really about SECURITY or a BREACH that would be more like if there were hacking or leaking from inside the MS infrastructure... this is about levels or settings for PRIVACY being shown incorrectly for users due to a glitch/bug in code, software, or data indexing perhaps?
