I do miss the surprise factor that comes from a well prepared announcement. A lot of that is lost nowadays with the "we need to know it all and now" mindset. Some of the fun has been zapped out of the gaming industry in place of petty squabbles and demands for information, info that will be used as ammunition.
I don't really mind leaks and such, but it did come with a bit of a downside.
Been debating all day whether to get this or Battlefield 4 (24.99). With Counter Strike: GO as my main FPS it'd be nice to change things up a bit.
Any constructive input would be helpful. I game on a PC if that makes any difference.
I took a chance with a Lumia several months back. Got the 925. Cheap so that the risk wasn't too much. But damn have I been impressed with it so far. If it weren't for the fact AT&T seems to be the only carrier in which to get one of the better models I'd be pretty deep into MS' line of phones by now. Unfortunately I'm stuck with TMobile for now...who announced they are no longer gonna carry the Lumia line. Bastards...

Eh, Onlive gave it a go when it was them and Gaikai trying to usher in this stuff. Its a nice option, but far from ideal. Between input lag and hogging up bandwidth I havent really bothered hooking up my Onlive unit.
I got the unit and a controller for free along with 5 games, so I didnt really lose anything in the whole deal. I suppose it depends on the pricing model they eventually use. Build it into PS+ would be a solid route with the occasional steam-like sale for those ...

He may not have used this service, but I did have Onlive, which seemed to have the same setup. 5mbps recommended and scaled graphics depending on connection and what not. The input lag was there no matter the game, but it wasn't too bad.
Think..Killzone 2. It gave a weighted feel, but didn't prevent you from reacting properly in game. However, with MP...that I cant comment on.But I imagine there may be some frustrating moments if yer used to a gam...
Just got done messing about in it in Cubes server. Just silly fun chaos. Get the right group of people together and you can certainly make something out of whats there. Its nto any GTA Online Killer...but then again GTA Online aint exactly where it could be at neither.
"Once upon a time, when you bought a new games console, it was often possible to play most of the games designed for the previous machine."
In the history of consoles how many were ever actually backward compatible? NES to SNES? Genesis to the Saturn? N64 to the Gamecube...?These articles and gamers seem to think BC was around for numerous generations when it was really only around for one or two I think...then again maybe Im just old now and most are too young to ...
Started as a console gamer since NES, PC gaming only slightly in the late 90s. Then mid-way through the 360/PS3 gen I beefed up my aging PC and found myself almost exclusively playing PC for the past many years now. I was about to buy both the PS4 and Xb1, but cancelled them last week. This is the first console gen I'm not buying into day one. Its really weird. I do still plan to buy them eventually for the exclusives, but for now, eh.
I do, however, play all my single pl...
If MS and Sony fans had a chance to go at it against each other, I imagine it'd be something like makeup sex between a bickering couple. All hardcore rage and vitriol being leveled upon one another. Digital body fluids spread across the landscape. Then the passion will kick it, acceptance of the differences between one another, rationale starts to set in. Then BAM, they are one.
It may be the greatest thing to happen for console gaming as peace amongst the living room ga...

Most certainly my favorite gametype available right now. I need to get a proper team together for some communication. Even without it, people tend to get in sync pretty well.
He isn't alone. Back when I had my PS3 and 360, my PS downloads took an absurd amount of time while the 360 downloads were quick. I tested the speeds out by downloading a video that was available to both stores. What took the 360 a minute to do, the PS3 took 15.
Now the stranger thing is, my friends Playstation down the road downloaded stuff just as fast as my 360. We both use Comcast and both had the same internet plan. So it very much is a person to person deal.
Saw the Steam pre-order comes with the soundtrack...if the music in the trailer says anything, I'll have some new driving music.
I got Halo Reach for free for being a Live subscriber. I got lots in the way of free ms points via the rewards program, plus the exclusive gold member deals put up weekly are nice. Also got a heavy discount from a promotion on live for my next renewal. Im no longer a member, but during the 5 or 6 years I was I got a lot of goodies for following the promotions and such that were exclusive to live members.
So I'm not entirely sure what ya mean there that they never offered ...
I wouldnt mind a little cross integration. Lately I've been more into PC gaming again, and wanna trade in both my PS3 and 360 (maybe for the Vita), but I am hesitant as I have a lot of Arcade games on there. If I can access those games with a Live account that works with my PC (as most those arcade games are on PC as well), it'd make this whole decision a lot easier.
Tho I plan to get the next gen consoles anyways and Im sure my downloads will be there as well, it'...
Having been using Amazon as my goto place for deals, I've learned to wait it out more often then not. Doesnt always work out, but more often than not you get rewarded. A bit dickish of amazon to offer deals lower then what was featured during the initial event.
Picked up Burnout Paradise and Dragon Age bundle for $11 together after my $5 promo.
I knew waiting would pay off. Tho I imagine a lot of impulse buyers may be annoyed.
I'll settle for the tether with my cellphone option. My phones rooted so the hotspot is free plus it'll save battery life and save me money in several ways.
Amazon usually has tons more deals for console players. Its nice to see some love for PC gamers.
the promo code was given to those who bought certain games off amazon during one of the holiday sales. After a bit of scrounging for numerous good deals I found Street Fighter 4 for $5 that also came with the $5 promo code for a future purchase. Seemed like a no brainer.
Been playing it, has some visual bugs here and there, so far I haven't run into any game breaking bugs of any kind. Only got an hour in so far tho.
