Your right 1000$ gift bags and bribery and sponsorship don't buy acclaim. I bet there are tons a outlets that's would say "for a kids cd Hannah Montana is good" just like "halo is halo" it's all in the audience you market to. Halo is a great game if u like halo. Just like Hannah Montana is great if u like it... Plenty of outlets will praise or flame it and people will call sites biased and blah blah blah. It's the same for all mediums. To me though the comparison is in how...

sales do not equal quality. Wii sport is not goty... Nor wii fit or anything like that. Sales don't mean quality. Hannah Montana sells a lot of junk. You gonna jump on that band wagon too?
I am in no way against demos. If you got that impression I am sorry. I just don't think they are absolutely needed or anything. I mean we had almost 3 decades of gaming without them and now all of a sudden its an affront if you don't release one with every game? I can read articles and probably have a good enough Idea if I will like it or not... Still not sure what you mean by community games... 1 vs 100 or something?
Please link somewhere sony said "infamous only possible on PS3". I dont think they did...
I know a few guys from SP said it( http://www.thegameraccess.c... ) and who is to say the dev's are liars? Are you a game programmer? It may be the physics and not the graphics or the scale or disc size or any other number of reasons...
I really liked Zelda and Super Mario Galaxy... Mad world was ok as well...
Reach may come back as surprisingly good. No clue yet cause we have not seen anything but if Bungies track record holds how it has been I have no expectations for anything worth while.
Seriously though people don't have to agree with me or anything. It's just what I see. Games that support 256 players(360 has yet to prove it can do 1/10th of this...). Games with user generated content like Mod Nation Racers, Blu ray, Free online, Home, Dedicated servers for most 1st party online ...
Ok I'll counter you a point at a time.
1. Bluray is better. Rental or bought it's better and with netflix rentals are great.
2. I can't believe your trying to make the fact that they charge you to do what every other system does for free into a good point....
3. Netflix studder and missync? I have yet to experience any at all or have any friends who have had issues. I do have an amazing connection but yeah... And "ZOMG NO DASHBOARD OR XMB ICON = PS3...
Rockox
But again the "implcation" is that "because you don't own a 360 you can't play..." which is not true at all.
Also serious question. I have yet to see fable 3 announced anywhere. Have they actually confirmed it with a release date?
Just as an FYI lairs controls have been fixed so you can play with sticks instead of sixAxis now
SCC and ME2 are on PC and I'll be playing SCC only though. If you prefer one cneole over another your a fan of the console even if you own both...
I too disliked Mass Effect but thats just my opinion. I even wrote a blog on here about choice in gaming... I really tried to like Bioware. I bought their old SW game off Steam over the holidays and all kinds of stuff... I just don't enjoy anything they put out sadly and don't see why others do... I'm glad many others do though... However when I had my 360 back in the day(ME was the last game I bought before trading it in) All my friends were hanging out and watching and moaning and b***hing ...
Flaming Titan guy is Hades.... Yes he does look epic =D
Game looks great. Just Platinumed 1 and 2. My all time fav franchise of the last decade
Gamer2010.
I do. Matter of fact I will be buying Bioshock 2 on Steam and probably Splinter Cell if the reviews are good... Some games I personally prefer on PC. It's not just a cop out. Check my steam account activity... Same user name as here.
To me at least it's no game and the truth is the above posters are right. Games like Mass effect and splinter cell are not 360 exclusive. They are 360 console exclusive but still available on other platforms(Or platform)... Se...
Mastiff. Don't forget Play, Create, Share, Which MS would never support. Their policies are against user created content where as sony's are not. You kind of went over it with Mods but LBP is a big value of importance too me.
Many say the Games on Demand service is great on both. However the one problem I have is that on XBL they are even more expensive then at retail. Like when Bioshock released it was 30$ on XBL and 20 on Steam or hard copy in the store...
Either w...
you know. I was in gamestop today because I got a gift card and wanted to spend it. I didn't realize how long the line would be until I got there and decided to suck it up. So in my waiting I noticed the PS3 wall was surrounded by people. Like probably close to 15. The 360 wall however was very lonely in it's corner... Made me smile a little =D
The human eye cannot see more then about 60 frames. So anymore is useless. It's nerve impulses that are sent to the brain...
Example. Put your hand in front of your face. You can see it clear as day. Now move it vary fast to the left and the right and it becomes a blur. Because the human eye can not process the speed at which it is seeing it... So 120 vs 60 would in essence look exactly the same... Really the difference between 30 and 60 is so minor I don't even see why we do it ...
Like I said to each his own.
I try to look at how far other games have come from the NES or SNES days and see much greater improvements in gameplay in other areas. i.e. Super Mario 1 or 3 vs Super Mario Galaxy(Your controller point is valid but look at crystal bearers... Even with the controls the game is weak)I look at companies in general like Naughty dog from PS1 to now.
I look at Zelda 1 to the most recent and I see leaps and bounds of difference in these games ...
Sony didn't give PS2 gamers 1000$ shwag bags.
Should truck companies market to farmers? Yes
Should hybrid cars market to long distance commuters? Yes.
Should hannah market to little girls? Yes
All I am saying is I feel Halo is a sellout franchise that caters to its audience...
