EA always know when to say the right thing. lol
Being able to swap out the physical drive easily is fine but that isn't what is going on here. Sony is trying to socially engineer or ween their customers off using physical media. By making a large price differential between the model that has the drive and the model that doesn't. The truth is these drives are very cheap to make and only add about $10 or less to the price. With their exaggerated price differential they apply they will make less of the model that comes with no drive s...
Without physical media consoles no longer have multiple store fronts and that is a problem I agree. This is all the more reason why Sony should support physical media so they don't have to be forced by a governmental body to allow other digital store fronts on their console.
"Rising Popularity Of PC" we know most people have a PC that isn't the question. High end gaming PC's is actually on the decline because of the insane PC part prices. So talking about PC as some big monolith block is a fallacy. That is the real truth behind Sony doing PC ports, they know it isn't a threat.
Another game that put the horse before the cart with all that online only ambition.
Yeah, They have gone into that downward spiral of bad products and trying to chase every penny to make up for it while being anti consumer in the process.
@VenomUK Not sure that strategy will work any better for Microsoft. The Steam Deck gets more vocal praise than it has actually sold. In the real world it isn't even a blip. I think the better performance PC handhelds have also saturated that market for Valve.
I think Microsoft are following Atari.
The fact the new system comes into place after the PS5 Pro debacle and they lay off hundreds and are told to go dark makes Microsoft look even more scummy.
You missed out £700 mortgage. Unless you are living on tax payer charity by staying in a local authority rented accommodation and also receiving benefits, you've lost your point.
Just because NVIDIA fleece PC customers doesn't mean it is a good reference point to say the PS5 Pro price is reasonable.
It was SonicN on N-Gage for example so it makes sense. Even the J2ME version didn't have Advance in the title.
Nothing really, However Sony's direction and the PS5 Pro announcement sucked a lot of air out the room. When you hurt consumer confidence in your platform it makes people hold off.
Agreed, part of the reason we are where we are is because of the anti consumer practices Microsoft has brought to console gaming. Competitive Microsoft just means more fleecing practices.
Probably should drop the "Advance" from the game titles too. If they are going to appear on other platforms.
That's not true, A lot of people left PC gaming when Steam came out and killed physical gaming for PC. It is one of the great non talked about events. Because you were just locking yourself into one digital only platform.
$700 & no disc drive and now their most downvoted video on Youtube. The arrogance level is even higher than PS3.
That would essentially be like one arm of the US government owning Ubisoft and the other half being the Chinese government. Wouldn't happen unless the US force Tencent to sell their half. Which these days doesn't seem unommon. This why it is hard to see the difference between companies like Microsoft and Tencent and partly why they are not popular.
Games like this suffer on consoles due to the paywall for multiplayer.
That's why you get their games for free elsewhere with the login removed.
