One of the real reviews to be fair.

Yeah, Sony have been somewhat idiotic with their PC strategy. It is actually easier to get their games on PC for free than it is to buy them on PS5 or PC. They were warned this strategy would dilute their brand if they listened to Hulst and the full force of this mistake will be felt when the PS6 launches. They will experience a massive drop off in PS6 owners because you can get their stuff for free elsewhere.

Looks rough in areas for what you'd expect in a AAA game.

The launch trailer didn't convince me, aspects of the game look stilted and last generation and I don't think the Harrison Ford copy cat voice is very good either. The character animation looked a bit dated for 2024 for such a big franchise.

I can imagine this would be a LEGO game a lot of non LEGO players would have bought. The amount of humor you could get out of all the Bond films is immeasurable, never mind all the action gameplay.

So you get free advertising? no.

This tactic is calling "tunneling out" Microsoft basically want to do a great escape on other well established eco systems and not pay the tax to be on them at the same time, It is like someone else using your house to setup a business and you can't do anything about it, which is illegal in many countries.

Yeah PSVR1 was the best VR experience in terms of software spread as AAA studios all had a shot at making games. There was also 10 million PSVR's sold compared to PSVR2 barely selling a million. PSVR2 is technically better but the software is lacking compared to the first time around. PCVR isn't even a market, it is just a bunch of mods and tinkerers and hardware manufacturers are not going to keep making headsets for it.

All you can eat has always been fantasy value when you simply can't eat everything. The value was never there.

is $299 not cheap enough for full standalone? Many people have tried VR so the argument that many haven't doesn't hold much water anymore. Also the immersion factor isn't the big mainstay you think it is, just because you think it is doesn't mean the general population agree. Many people say yeah the immersion is cool and they are just not interested in it regardless of price. Also people pay 3-4 times the price on a TV vs a VR headset, which you would say is not as immersive,...

If you ask anyone in the VR scene to explain how 10 years of this current VR push has amassed to just over 1% they will tell you we are at the Atari 2600 stage of VR. The 90's was the Atari 2600 stage of VR and that was over 30 years ago. The fact is people are simply not that enamored with VR to make it their main way of playing games.

I've said VR needs to go away "again" and come back when the tech is available to make it as easy as putting on glasses a...

Do people also ignore the fact that Sony's messaging is, you don't really need a PlayStation as you can get our games on PC now. That was have a detrimental effect on sales. I think it will be mostly felt at the PS6 launch though.

@ApocalypseShadow you are exactly part of the problem and why I won't return to VR and will actively encourage others not to waste their money in doing so. Keep doing what you're doing.

I kind of hate how people into VR call everything else "flat games" it is one of the small many reasons that puts me off getting back into the VR community. Also their complete lack of critical reviewing on VR games as they don't want to say anything negative that might make their platform disappear, it is pathetic. At the end of the day VR came and went before and it might have to go away for a while so technology can progress behind the scenes, right now people are just gettin...

Still not worth it mate, I bought a PSVR1 and while I enjoyed it I don't think I ever fully got my moneys worth from it in playtime. Now that AAA developers have left the VR scene the value is even less regardless if the hardware is better. Sony prepared for premium VR like Valve as did many other headsets but it never panned out. Instead it is indie titles galore and I wouldn't pay more than $200 for a headset that is mostly indie experiences.
