Won't have a PSVR2 mode so I won't be buying it anyway.
It will be like VR, a sea of disappointing software. They basically made an Ouya Kinect.
Because there is a double standard when it comes to Nintendo. The most vocal people online are PC users and they want all Xbox and PlayStation games but at the same time they are willing to let Nintendo keep their games on their platform which means they only have to buy a Nintendo console. If all things were straight and honest the so called gaming press should be encouraging Nintendo to do PC releases but like you say it is never in the conversation. If all the online commentators are fine ...
It seems like there is no shortage of money being spent on bull in the west. That is what I'm getting from this.
It is the best ever until Sony shuts it down and no one can replay it like previous GT games. This is the reason I stopped at GT6. Car games as a service sucks.
I mean Sony games are pirated quite a lot on various torrent sites way more than they actually sell on PC store fronts. Sony don't seem bothered about it. By not being bothered about it that undercuts the people on console who have to pay top dollar for their games, they will eventually wake up to that and join with the pirate ship on PC.
Does anyone really care at this point? NVIDIA has managed to completely suck the life out of PC and gaming. They are not the only one sucking the life out of the PC mind you, Microsoft with Windows has their fair share of the blame. Everything seems to be getting more expensive and worse for the user to the point the only way to win is to not participate and find a cheaper hobby.
It didn't help that the proper hardcore PlayStation users are physical collectors and they shipped an expensive digital pro paperweight in PS1 livery. That was a miscalculation.
Because this story provides no evidence why is it that Spider-man sells 11 million on PS5 and about 40k on PC?
Agree with the other comments, after the dust has settled it was a pretty mediocre game. Felt like faux hype generated like Starfield.
Not sure why they keep using Cyberpunk as some technical benchmark. It is some of the worst tech I've seen in an engine. Lots of shiny surfaces doesn't mean high tech.
Those Youtubers were part of the problem for the longest time, they would keep making video pr0n from the free gpu's they would get sent without of real sense of the cost. Now you have a bunch of new upcoming ones who just use their adsense money to do it instead.
There literally isn't any future proofing an NVIDIA card, They just add new "must have" features that your previous gen card can't do.
@truthBombs That is Xbox fanboy misinformation. Over 95% of PlayStation games install and run fine without any internet or DRM. Where do you get this idea that because a game is no longer streamed from the disc the disc is no longer valuable? That is how it was on the PC for decades. You would installing the game from a disc, streaming from a disc has no bearing on this at all, you still own a physical copy of the game.
@darthv72 What are you talking about? There are 1TB discs. Disc technology is getting better all the time. They are forcibly being depreciated by greedy corporations who don't want you to own anything.
The fact there are so many on eBay at rock bottom prices says more about Meta and their content platform than anything else. They aren't converting enough people even at these lower prices. The software just isn't there despite what some VR heads will tell you. It is nowhere near up to the quality of regular games and immersion doesn't change that.
Don't we have a cost of living crisis going on and people are still throwing money away. Mind you I wouldn't be surprised if Elon Musk was 90% of the funding.
I mean a lot of the physical combat and interaction in 1st person is pretty low quality. The studio makes shooters and they kind of turned Indy into a shooter and well that isn't really the character either. I agree the game is about a 7/10, I just think people let the Indy factor nudge it up. I wouldn't make a sequel as that factor won't be there again and I haven't seen much progress in 1st person games when it comes to those type of interactions.
That's a $1,500 for a GPU from a company that would rather stream you media instead.
Why would you buy an Xbox handheld that can only play Xbox games? When you can buy the other handheld that plays a lot more? This is fundamentally why platform exclusives matter, Xbox has none therefore has no appeal. I'm sure there will be so called "game journalists" That will tell you it is great when it is released because they don't fund any of it but the truth is you are going to pick the handheld which is not locked down if the locked down one has no exclusives.
