Besides Mario and Pikman, and DK on the horizon, what other quality games are there for the Wii U? It's been a year, yet Metroid, Zelda, Smash Bros, all missing in action. At that rate, each of these are supposed to occupy the player 6 months per title?
I own all 3 consoles, and I've owned every Nintendo system since the NES. I'd hate to see the Wii U fail, but honestly, I use my other systems way more.
U need games. I understand people get Nintendo systems for Mario (myself included) but I'd also love to see Smash Bros, Zelda U, Kid Icarus, Castlevania, Mega Man, Starfox, F Zero, Double Dragon (or some type of walk through-beat em up, Renegade/Vigilante) RC Pro Am, Metroid, Gradius, Life Force, not to mention Segas catalog you have, shit, ANYTHING with a FRESH UPDATED catalog on classics.
It is great X1 and PS4 are doing good, I own those too, but give me more reason to fire up...

Agree with Deividas, no excuse for not preordering. You could've preordered at GameStop for $100, Walmart for 10% down (about $40) or even Amazon with 0 down until it shipped.
My sympathies if you don't remember the Wii, 360 or PS3 shortages when they launched. I didn't get my 360 until Easter the next year and they were STILL MIA in stores (I broke down and went eBay). Wii was still short all the way through Christmas the next year.
I regret getting this broken title. Dashboards every single time between matches in conquest, and that's IF I can get into one. Looks like a trip to GameStop is in order. Such a shame, such potential.
Flipgeneral-You'll love AC4. I was never a huge AC fan, but the pirate theme with the AC formula works extremely well.

Dice needs to worry about fixing their servers before commenting on anything. I play on X1 and get "dashboarded" or fail to join a lobby at all. I have no issues with Ghosts and also heard this issue is affecting the PS4 and PC crowd too.
AKR-Bingo...especially with droughts (and price) of the other two, that will help move units alone. Kids are going to want game consoles for Christmas, if the other two aren't in stock, parents will get them a Wii U. I was in Toys R Us and asked the clerk if they had PS4 or X1 in stock. He said PS4 doesn't last two minutes, but people walking in fiending for a new console actually settled on the X1 or Wii U.
I have all three, and enjoy each in its own unique way. I'm glad...

You're missing out ssj27. The lunch games are tasty. I like fries with my CoD (fish and chips). You're also right with 3rd parties being a scare. Dead Rising 3 comes to mind.

Nintendo will be fine. 3DS is a great system, and I recently picked up a Wii U. I also own an X1 and PS4, but the U is in a class of its own. There is no comparing it to the other two. I stated earlier, its like comparing a Prius to a Camaro. Some people want speed, some want MPG, to each his/her own. I enjoy them all equally, but each in their own way.

With that, some are trickling into stores. Check Toys R Us too. I was there 2 days ago, and they got some in that morning but were gone in an instant. Sign up on waiting lists, be patient. Get friendly with the electronics people in Walmart and Toys R Us.

In an earlier statement I made about my connection on BF4 playing on my X1, I get a wild pack of retards who just disagree because I said it happened on the PS4 too. I have all three consoles, but Im done with the fanboy shit on this site. Its rampant, more here than most others. If you don't own stock in Sony, MS or Nintendo, WTF should you care if "your" console sells more?
Glad I preordered. To anyone who didn't and has to go through this, good luck and stay safe. If you don't get the stand alone console-consider the bundle. The game, controller plus PS+\XBL are things you'll want anyway.
