So what game are you going to be playing on launch night? For PS4 I'm getting Assassins Creed 4. Don't know why, but being a pirate in next gen sounds most exciting to me. I know I'll get disagrees on this but, I'll still be playing FPS' on Xbox for that launch night but hey, to each their own :-) enjoy your system of choice.
Langkasuka--A friend of mine works at Walmart and he preordered his from there. They have to go by the same rules as the customers. Employees who try to mess around (take one home early, set consoles aside for friends etc) risk losing their job. I imagine all retailers are the same. Still...they'll be a bonehead employee who tries it.
Jay 2, honestly my man, 25 extra consoles per store isn't squat. I'd rather wait a little bit more when Sony or MS would be able to stock the stores with a sufficient supply rather than getting into riots trying to get one, even through preorder. Also "up to"...that could be 5 or 25. They might also be getting those numbers from last minute preorder cancelation. Have faith, the wait is almost over.
Sevir-I'm just north of you up in Oceanside. I'll be at Walmart getting mine. That said-25 extra consoles per store? Oh man...I can see the stampedes and headlines all over the next day. Somehow the media will spin it to how video games are at fault. I've seen rumbles at Walmart on Black Friday for a shitty waffle maker.

Nice-I'll be playing it on X1, but my sports games and anything non FPS on PS4. If X1 is the nightmare these rumors poise it to be, well I guess I'll jump ship then.
I have both the X1 and PS4 on preorder, and with less than a month to go, and bullshit like this, my decision is-Cancel the X1 for store credit, or be a super hog and scalp it on eBay?
Unless you have stock invested in either company, I really don't see why one would be interested in what the other one is doing. MS isn't going to collapse if it doesn't initially get as many sales as Sony, and Sony wont go belly up if MS gets an exclusive.
My point is, enjoy whatever console/handheld/PC or whatever you own. Stop giving this issue attention, so bloggers and editors can focus on the most important aspect-games!
Those complaining about this are the ones who didn't preorder the stand alone unit months ago. If you wanted a Launch Day console (EITHER console actually, X1 or PS4) you should've considered this would happen long ago. Piss and moan about the bundle and not act now and it'll look like a bargain compared to what a scalper on eBay will get you for. If the $25, $100 or 10% down or even these bundles are too steep for you, maybe you should stick to your current gen console.

This incident should be a huge red flag for Xbox players who game online. I'm thinking of the new rating system and how MS claimed they will be "fair" in reviewing reviews/complaints on any that a gamer sees as unfair. This poor bastard did NOTHING wrong and nothing outside anyone else will do on Facebook and Twitter on the 22. Do you think they'll be fair to random gamers for unjust ratings or let them stick, even handing out bans?
