JoelT is right, and it may or may not be such a good idea. Cable companies are losing business with everyone flocking to Netflix and Hulu, so I'm sure they're chomping on the bit for a fresh idea to get customers back.
Edit-thinking about it, Sony tried this route with the Vita in its infancy with AT&T and I remember the infamous booing at the announcement of AT&T being the provider. Does AT&T still provide service for Vita?

N4RC, agreed 100%. Guy I work with never preordered and is SOL on getting a console. This SAME guy took the day off work to watch E3, and was eager to get an X1. Now he parrots to me "there are no games" etc. also, I can't WAIT to hear this clown tomorrow about my PS4, which works flawless, but he'll be putting it down, lol
The hell with it...with this guys logic why not wait till the twilight of the PS4 and X1. I'm an early adopter and fine with what's available. I'll also be growing my PS4 and X1 library sooner. I spent more on my iPhone than either console.
Sistersback-I had instability issues with AC4 when I first played it. The thing is, you can play the game as it's installing, and maybe I was getting to areas that weren't installed yet. I think the solution is to put the game in and let it install while doing something else. AC plays flawless for me now
F'ing losers...I'm a console gamer and know this pain all to well with the PSN attack a couple years ago. Hope the issue gets fixed for the PC gamers
Got mine at Walmart, and will be picking up my X1 from them this Friday too. So far, no issues at all with my PS4 and this is after about 10-15 hours on it (on and off) between me and my wife.
I got Assassins Creed 4 as my first title on PS4. LOVE IT, and I wasn't a fan of other AC games, but the pirate theme is awesome. I'll be getting BF4 and CoD on X1 on Friday.

Ballseye, it's ok...next week we'll see how "smooth" the X1 release goes. "50% negative reviews on Amazon", people don't go online to write good reviews, they go online to bitch. Of all the hundreds of bad reviews, think of the many more too busy to write a review because they're too busy enjoying their PS4 to be bothered, myself included.

One of the "problems" states the X1 is sold out everywhere. That's not a "problem" if you had half a brain and preordered your console. That "problem" is also rampant with the PS4. That's not a problem, that's a sign of success. Everything else listed is all stuff we are well aware of and recycled bullshit.

@BigPappy-Killer Instinct is an unfinished game missing key components, and if it was priced as such it should rate a decent score. Gran Turismo Prologue was an unfinished game, and even at the time, $39 was steep.
Don't support developers putting out glorified demos that are overpriced.
