GT5 has last gen physics that make the cars d@mn near un-drivable.
I really do hate Sony.
GT5 tries to do too much, and ends up doing alot, but doing it half @ssed.
Dirt will not have as many features, but what it does do it will do better than GT5.
Believe it or not realism will be one of the areas dirt is better. Better sound, damage, and physics for certain.
to say it, I will. YES it looks better than GT5, and most likely will be better in many ways.
you have to install demos on PSN?!?!? even after the download ?!?!?
F#ck PS3 sucks, please someone tell me again why you people are so keen on that console, it is such a cluster f#ck.
this is the case with most modern Japanese games. The devil is in the details. They start a game with a great concept, good execution, then they ruin it by neglecting the details. In the case of GT5 things like you described, horrible audio, jaggy shadows, and outdated physics, ruin the overall experience, sure it looks great in photomode, but this is supposed to be a sim, not a auto modeling game.
the reason so many people are disappointed is because we were told that GT5 damage and every other aspect would be light years superior to anything on the market, this is why it was taking so long, because of the attention to detail, the developers obsession with perfection.
Well it turns out the developer is just full of it, they took forever to make the game simply because their skills are not as high as say Turn10. It turns out the damage is crappy, along with several othe...
Trust me there is nothing to be jealous of. I can get a more realistic experience on Burnout LOL!
Plus, it doesn't matter what I am, what about the facts that are staring you in the face? GT5 has no interiors on 80% of the cars, crappy damage, crappy ice physics, crappy shadows, super crappy audio, only 20% of the cars will be modern late model vehicles made after GT4, and it took them 6 years to make. These are all facts, nevermind me, this is unacceptable. Forza, Burnou...
he didnt care how the millions of GT fans felt when he kept them in the dark on GT5 details and took 6 years to make what is turning out to be the least advanced modern racer on the market.
Do you hear that car? It sounds like a Nintendo arcade racer from 1992 LOL! Forza has the actual engine sound of the Galardo, the supposed King has phony synthesized motor buzzing LMAO! MAN this game sucks, and whats with those blocky shadows geez!
YLOD almost blew up my boat, see I can tell stupid lies too.
is the Gears of War of PS3, the 360 already has a Gears of War. All the "epicness" started on 360 dude, it is PS3 that is playing catch up.
As for God of War 3, well nice game but also quite overrated, it was God of war 2 with prettier graphics. Far from "epic".
a really stupid article, first off games are a lot less substantive than movies, second, consumers rely on scores to decided whether to spend a LOT of money or not.
Third, the author sounded like an elitist liberal prick, I dont like all that talk of training the consumers, and forcing change on people. What a douche bag, guys like him are the reason we have that complete failure of a president in the White House right now.
the reason Halo is considered generic is because all shooters after it have tried to copy it, thus making it seem generic. Halo was the first shooter to take the world by storm. Games like Killzone and Resistance have far less character than Halo, and as a result do not sell anywhere nears as much, their formula for trying to copy Halo failed.
Uncharted is a Gears of War knock off with a little tomb raider thrown in so its not so obvious.
PS3 has Uncharted and GT5, that's it, no one wants to play anything else on that console, the rest of its exclusives are just overhyped by fanboys, thats why they dont sell.
Killzones graphics are flat, muddy and often blurry, REACH has superior graphics, and unlike Killzone, REACH is fun to play, Killzones controls sucked butt.
according to fanboy rules so 360 did not lose that. As for new exclusives overall 360 still has more, they just aren't big blockbuster games that get lots of attention.
In fact one could argue that it is better to have a huge variety of smaller games, like PS2 was famous for, as apposed to having a few big exclusives and not get all the small budget gems that are great inexpensive games.
PS3 misses out on a bunch of games because of the cost of develop...
does not make it true. There is nothing on PS3 that can match the XBL arcade game Cloning Clyde, see what I did there, its just worthless fanboy talk, just cuz you say it does not make it true, its just the biased opinion of some stupid fanboy on the internet.
but nothing all that great about night time driving really. Certainly not as "amazing" as some of you are making this out to be, its an added feature, and thats great, but most likely it will make an already unrealistically difficult game, even more unplayable.
One thing I have always hated about these sims is the controls, cars are not that hard to keep in a straight line in real life. If this is supposed to be THE king of driving games, they should have fixed that...
so let me get this straight, Sony lies to the world about the percentage of launch PS3s effected by the YLOD, and all you poor saps have to pay 150 buks to get your $600 launch consoles fixed, but Microsoft only includes English, French, Spanish, Italian, and German in Kinect at launch, and suddenly they are the king of evil?
LOL riiiiight ok guys.
Sony has been doing this since the beginning of this gen. Anounce a bunch of titles that are coming out that year to pad their game list and get the fans all hyped up. Then delay half of them at the last minute, leaving fans with yet another mediocre line up for the year.
This is why at the end of every year 360 always manages to have more games.
No idea why people keep falling for this crap from Sony.
