That's from the press release. Apparently it's a completely new Pokemon. Not a redesign of an already established one.

C'mon... It's not just that Nintendo created a game with cross over characters - It's about the layout and style thats been directly copied. That said, I'll still be buying the game.
Also, Devil May Cry did come first... But that was also the same designer as Bayonetta ha.
This campaign will easily clear 4 million by the end of the 27 days. Kickstarter campaigns get the most activity in the last few days.
