I think its an insult to Gears to compare it to Resistance.
Thats really cool how u can shoot an enemy in the leg and they fall and hurt themselves with their own weapon.

You dont need HDMI for the HD-dvd add on. VGA will work as well for they are both digital connections. Games can be played in 1080p over component. Games and movies on the hd-dvd addon can be played in 1080p over VGA.
The textures and lighting was bad but I think this might have to do with the quality of the video capture device. But then again I clicked the 720p version and it still looked like sh!t and thats bad considering its gold. We'll see once the game launches.

In reference to specs, John Carmack a famed developer and genius said that both consoles are roughly equal in terms of power. However I believe that 360s dev tools will be one of their biggest benefits.

1. The 360 can do HDR and 4xMsaa wothout a performance hit to the 360 gpu for it is all taken care of by the 10 mb Edram buffer. If a ps3 game does it then it will be a hit to the gpu.
2. Some cross platform games for both ps3 and 360 are enabled for 1080p for the ps3 version because devs just recently found out that they will finally be able to enabled 1080p for the 360 as well. Also who cares if the ps3 is doing games in 1080p? And your point is? 720p equals less resolutions...
