this game would be a 9.5 if zipper didnt strip the game of features from past socom titles.. its still an 8 in my book from the beta.. I like it better than black ops for sure..

inzo i think if you even owned a ps3 you would have already judged the game from playing the beta.. its free to download and has been open to the public for about a week now.
I am actually excited to buy this game on the 19th . i hope zipper just fixes some stuff in the multiplayer.. other than that i am really enjoying the beta..
sounds like this guy is an old socom vet pissed at zipper.. haha. I'm mad at zipper for taking some things out especially lobbies, the crosshairs, and they need to fix the cover system. but other than that the beta is great and super fun.. i also think zipper will fix all this stuff too.
if you own a ps3 and on the fence about this game just download the beta. its free and open to the public. you will see why this review has holes. also call of duty has ruined gaming!!
ok i am in the beta and i can tell you this game is far from a 3 out of 10. the gameplay and graphics are solid. zipper did strip the game from a lot of features from past socom games but other than that the game is better than most shooters out there. I am enjoying the beta especially bomb squad classic. This game is better than black ops and modern warfare 2 for me..
I cant wait for this game but i hate the fact socom is trying to be too mainstream.. XP, first blood, get that crap out of there. socom was good the way it was doesnt need to add call of duty crap too it..

you miss my point man. I don't mind that they added this feature for respawning in ranked matches.. From the looks of it the classic modes with no respawns was just slapped in there to keep old socom people happy. their main focus was the new way of socom with respawn matches and cod stuff. I heard they arent putting much into the classic modes.
Respawning takes what socom is out of the game. its not tactical anymore. people will just run around by themselves on a one m...
most anticipated game this year. I just wish they kept respawn out or made that a add on for noobs. I think they made the classic modes an add on and focused more on the respawn modes. i could be wrong.
I liked confirmation alot even though the game was buggy as hell and the graphics kind of sucked. the core gameplay was pretty fun though.

Its a multi plat game so they will always treat any game also on the 360 with lower standards than ps3 exclusives which they have higher standards for.

socom 4 is good but it could be great if they added some features back into the game which i think zipper will. I am still buying it day one.
I dont see why some reviewers are rating it below an 8. If this game is a 6 or 7 than black ops and modern warfare 2 should be the same score or even lower. just playing the beta, this game is more addicting than those two. especially when you play with team players.
