Of coarse it does not doom Wii U. The Wii U is almost 2 1/2 years old. Nintendo typically releases a home console every 5-6 years. We knew about Nintendo's new console code named "Dolphin" which was GameCube in 1999 just 3 years after N64 came out.
Developers last gen said "this generation has lasted far too long and is holding us back". So if Nintendo does release a new console in 2 1/2 years that would be great. It will be almost 4 years in to PS4/X...
Modern day 3D is amazing compared to 20 years ago, but I would not want to wear the glasses for 4-5 hours at a time. I foresee headaches, eye damage in the near future. I could see short VR sessions being okay, but not marathons.
That is exactly why I do not think it will work. A 4 hour gaming session with a VR headset spells eye damage, headaches and discomfort.
Don't get me wrong it looks way cool. Even 3D glasses playing games are annoying though.
There are plenty of games on Wii U that are "grown up".
This article is pretty true, however Sony does have some very strong contenders, as far as 1st party goes. Wii U had a year head start. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next year. Sony is going to have some great stuff, but even so, my top 4 games I want to play are StarFox, Zelda, X, and Eternal Darkness, no it has not been announced by Nintendo, but they have renewed the patent twice in the past couple of years. If they do not use Eternal Darkness by the end of the year, the...
What are you talking about? The Wii U may not be doing great, but Nintendo dominates the hand held market. Also there is a ton of 3rd party 3ds support. Also Nintendo's software sales on both 3DS and Wii U are great. Nintendo 3DS especially.
You may not want a Wii U, and that is fine, but Wii U had a ton of GOTY nominations in 2014. The Wii U has an extremely fantastic line up of exclusive content out there.
I have Wii U and PS4 I have spent way more time...
I would not say people are "abandoning their Wii U's." That is not if the person already owns one. I think RockBand should come to wii U. Games like this would do well on the platform. Also this game is doubtfully going to use all of what current gen can put out.
Best games ever!!!! Dumb butt!! You clearly do not own one. Go play your 360.…
I have to say Wind Waker HD was very impressive. The game looked great 10 years ago, but the HD remake looks so very pretty.
An HD remaster of a classic meaning at least 10 years old is a great thing. If the game came out in the past couple of years and is $40 or more NO! That is nothing more than a cash grab! Give me a break, also the Halo remasers how many have there been? The last batch was released BROKEN, and we are talking about games that were released perfectly years ago.
Uh, how many GOTY was Nintendo up for last year? My PS4 is not collecting dust, but I have way more time invested in Wii U, SSB,Bayonetta, Darksiders(I know its old but I had never played it and picked it up for 9.99 on eshop).have been then games I have been playing most the last few weeks.
I have zero interest in Kirby and you just made it a done deal for me. I like Kirby games, but this one uses the gamepad too much. It would be like having only Murphy levels to play in Rayman. I love the Murphy levels, but I would not like the entire game to consist of them.
1. I do not need another blu-ray player. Nintendo was smart for not including it. You have to pay Sony for the right to include the function.
2.The 3rd party's have been releasing broken games, and demand DLC. The worst Assassins Creed ever. And many more like that.
3. Have no idea has not happens to me, but I have had zero issues with any Nintendo console ever. Even my NES still works just fine.
4. Picked up a TB HD for 50 bucks, and if ...
All the negative comments from "gamers" who literally never spent any time with Wii U is pathetic. It has a fantastic line up right now, and is a great system. There are so many things it gets right. Sure its not a powerhouse, but that does not mean there's not a ton of FUN to be had on the system. Isn't that what gaming should be?
There is something for everyone on Wii U. Just the other day I saw an article about a survival horror game coming to Wii U and I...
The only extra controler I have bought IS a pro-controler. I still had my Wii-remotes classic controller and Wavebird.
The Wii U is a great console, with really great games. Say what you want, but I have one and am glad I do.
The worst games are on Philips CD-i. Lol, the worst ever! The Faces of Evil and The Wand of Gamelon. I still can't believe Nintendo allowed those turds to be released with the name Zelda.

The graphics were amazing for that time. Beautiful game. Also with six Rare veterans it will probably be a stellar game like Rare USED to make.
No, because Japan has a set in stone May release, and also bundles. E3 is in June.
Nintendo has released a home console every 5-6 years for almost 30 years. The Wii U is almost 2 1/2 years old. I would say this time around 2017. That would be 5 years. Just like the time frame between N64/GameCube and GameCub/Wii. Wii U took 6 but that is because they were still on the Wii U success and milked it. Plus I think Wii U took longer to develop.
