Are you serious?!
So no harm comes to the world from playing GTA. But if you play a rape sim, then you get a sudden urge to imitate that behavior in real life? Sorry but I just don't see it that way, and if you can't tell apart video game fiction form real life, then you shouldn't play ANY videogame... at all! But I think I get your point:
- Killing police officers = good
- Raping women = bad
And they say gamers aren't smart!
...
You might want to fix that. But I do like the way how you organized the info.
Also you should warn people that if they want to use more than 3.5GB of RAM, they'll need a 64-bit OS.
Clearly inspired by Crackdown?!... The ailing PS3?!!!!
Who wrote this crap? Aaron Greenberg?
I didn't notice frame rate drops, but I did notice some serious texture and geometry pop up (if you ever played GTAIV on the 360, you know what I'm talking about).
The Neo-Geo and the Turbografx-16 are on the list but no CDI, 3DO or Atari 5200? The Game Gear is there, but no Gizmondo?! And since when is the 32X better than the Sega CD?
Ziiiinnnnnggg!
The game is still many months away from release and we have seen NOTHING from the 360 version, but already that one is being deemed the graphically superior version?! And they are using an old build of a work-in-progress engine to reach that conclusion, no less!
Heck... why are we even waiting for the full game to be released? Might as well review it now using the demo and give the PS3 a 7 and the 360 a 9.
It's one of the best point and click/graphical adventure games ever. Lucasarts truly excelled in that genre back in the 90's. Too bad the genre pretty much died after Grim Fandango. I think the game is available as freeware on the PC (or maybe I'm thinking of the Discworld series). You should try it.
I guess you're right. When I wrote the first comment I couldn't get the site to open and it just never occurred to me that there was such a big difference. It's been a long time since we've seen a game perform so differently between PS3 and 360. I just didn't expect that.
*EDIT* But I still think Lens of Truth needs better servers.
... As long as you don't throw Terminator Salvation at it.
There's only one lesson to be learned from these comparisons, and I think we all agree on that one: "Lens of Truth needs better servers".
...always play your games with 300% zoom! Otherwise you won't be able to tell the difference.
/sarcasm
Q#1 - "didn't they make Metal Gear 2 and 3 for the xbox as well?"
A#1 - No, they didn't. Konami only ported MGS2: Substance to the Xbox.
Q#2 - "did they not allow a different developer to make Metal Gear Solid 2 for the Gamecube?"
A#2 - No, they didn't. They allowed a different developer to remake the original MGS on the Gamecube.
Is there no end to this MADNESS?
The PS3's hardware failings don't fly "somewhat under the radar" because of a misconception, they do it because they're rare. And I don't care how these guys spin it, the hardware issues on the PS3 can't even be compared to the ones on the 360. Claiming that the difference between failure rates on the PS3 and 360 is a "misconception" is frankly ridiculous.
And someone should tell this guy that the Wii also has hardware issues. Or is that another misconceptio...
I'm 99.9% sure that the newest picture shown on that site is fake.
But I'm still with you Sev! Pay no attention to the disbelievers, the slim PS3 is real. It will simply be released earlier in the system's life cycle when compared to the PS1 and PS2.
lol Gamepad Xbox360 Controller for Windows
Miniaturizing the PS3 won't be as easy as it was with the PS2 because of the real-estate taken by the hard drive. Logically compromises will have to be made, which explains the not-so-gorgeous look of the new model. Anyway, don't be so quick to dismiss this one as fake.
BTW, that new logo does look really strange. It looks like the bastard child of the slim PS1 logo and the PS2 logo. Not that I ever was a big fan of the Spider-man "inspired" logo to begin with.
@1.5 - Hypocrite.
@1.6 - You know what else is illegal? Murder (in case you didn't know)! How can you endorse virtual murder and condemn virtual rape? I don't care how you spin it, to accept one while rejecting the other is hypocrisy. They are both wrong and illegal practices. You cannot ignore one while censoring the other.
But you know what?... I've made up my mind, I'm downloading the game today in order to experience first hand what all the fuss is about. But...
