Indeed. That was actually one of my biggest issues with the 360's hardware, along with the noise. Now apparently, those 2 have finally been fixed, which leaves us only with the external power supply. One thing Sony did really really well with the PS3 slim was keeping the internal power supply. If MS got rid of that ugly inconvenient power brick on the new slim Xbox 360, I just might buy one later this year. That is assuming they stick with the €200 price point for the elite in my country....

@ ATLGAMER - The conference was terrible, but you will not hear about it for days to come. The free Xbox Slim will make sure of that.

Eyepet wasn't casual enough for you?!

Alpha's right. Nintendo and Sega did it years before Sony. The redesign was definitely the highlight of MS's conference. I'm just curious if it's compatible with the current hard drives.

BTW, I love how they announced that the system will be available immediatly. It's like a trip back in time to Sega's 1995 E3.

That would be be an epic win.

From revolutionary to unimpressive in a year!

You know... for a device that was supposed to take hardcore gaming away from the bottomless pit it was (apparently) falling into, Natal/Kinect sure seems poised to bomb worse than the 32X.

It's NOT a PS3 exclusive!

I'll take the remakes of Shenmue 1 and 2, as long as they come with Shenmue 3 attached.

Also, Rush 2049 would be awesome! It's one of my favorite arcade racers. I have no idea who currently holds the rights to the San Francisco Rush franchise, but I would absolutely pay for an arcade perfect port of SFR 2049 with the Alcatraz track included. Somebody needs to get it done... Now!

That's 19% torn frames for the PS3 version actually. And the Xbox 360 version still manages to produce 6% torn frames, even rendering at 672p versus the PS3's native 720p.

Maybe you should go back to DF's comparison. They somehow found a way to spin it in favor of the 360... Like they always do.

I absolutely agree! It would just be silly to spend time and resources remaking Shenmue 1 and 2 when they could be put to much better use developing Shenmue 3 to finish the story.

I already have the first 2 games. I want to know how it ends!

I want Virtua Striker 2 on XBLA/PSN. You would not believe how much money I spent playing that game with my friends at the local arcade. I would gladly buy that game again, even though I already own the Dreamcast version.

This is great news! I already have Sonic Adventure on my Dreamcast, but I'll be first in line to buy Crazy Taxi and also Sonic Adventure 2 if it gets released.

@ Hells - According to the article, the games do feature online leaderboards and trophy/achievement support.

You know, for once I agree with you.

If you want to play ME, Gears or AW, you need a 360.

Same as how you need a PS3 to play GoW 3, MGS4, Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain and Valkyria Chronicles, since Microsoft doesn't have anything like it.

To each their own...

Care to elaborate on how a former PC exclusive gets gimped when ported to consoles? Superior graphics don't make a superior game, just a better looking one. The original Deus Ex wasn't known for it's great graphics, quite the opposite in fact. I should know, I own the game! Even the controls are just a matter a preference these days. I have a friend who bought a 360 controller to play Bioshock on the PC. I just don't see your point.

I also agree with your point of view, but I can't shake the feeling that you're holding a grudge against consoles. It might have something to do with your username.

First of all the Dreamcast did not run on Windows CE. In fact, the hardware itself had no OS besides the traditional BIOS. Instead, the OS had to be included on each game disc. Developers could then choose to work on SEGA's native OS or a specific version of Windows CE, featuring DirectX 6. CE offered easy transition to those who were accustomed to development on PC Windows environments, however it was glitchy, troublesome and lagged in performance when compared to SEGA's OS. Few game...

Agreed! As long as Sony keeps taking risks, bringing new IPs with fresh experiences and unrivaled attention to detail (who else translates their games 100% including voices?), I'll keep buying Sony hardware and software.

I would actually prefer sequels to most of those games. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for remastering games that got limited print runs or have sequels in development for a new system. But given the choice between a new game or an old game that I have already played with a new coat of paint, I'll take the new game any day. That's why I never bought the GoW collection, even though I love GoW and GoW2.

However, I would pay money for a Team Ico collection or a ZO...

I wouldn't go that far, but there's definitely something wrong when you tout DLC as a key positive feature of any system.
