I have expressed my opinion on motion controllers several times before and I've been trying to avoid making comments on Move/Kinect articles out of respect for the people who actually enjoy that crap. But not this time... This time I have to speak my mind:
Shouldn't you be playing Kinectimals or Fitness Evolved? I mean, if Kinect is such a gift sent from above and such an unrivaled success, why on Earth are you guys trolling the PS3 ...
@ Gigaware - Aren't you contradicting yourself by saying that games never look better on PS3 when it is the lead platform, and then claiming that "when PS3 beats the 360 it's because devs duct tape the 360 version in a hurry"? Or are you saying that PS3 only beats the 360 in games that had Microsoft's system as lead platform, which is another contradiction, because how would devs rush the lead platform?

Care to back up your claims with some actual proof? The PS2 had some hardware issues during its first year on the market, but those were quickly fixed, and they're easily eclipsed by the 360's legendary failure rate. Furthermore, your wishful thinking isn't fact and calling a fanboy to all those who disagree isn't going to change that.

That was exactly my point! 4cough was trolling about PS3 games being a little short of true 1080p, when his beloved Halo (judging from the avatar) doesn't even make it to 720p. It's like a blind guy making fun of the one-eyed man. I was just pointing out that if he wants to bring Wipeout HD into the discussion, there are far worse examples on his system of choice.

@ Factual - I don't think that's entirely fair towards developers. Some devs don't take the time to learn the achitecture because they simply don't have time to spare. Others lack the talent and/or the budget to do so. Working with the PS3 architecture can produce outstanding results, but you have to put more effort into it.
Absolutely! When I finished the game and watched the last cutscene, I remember thinking "Nice, a propper ending insteand of a cliffhanger". Then the credits rolled. Then I got to the Epilogue! It feels like the intro cutscene for the sequel and it sets things perfectly for the next chapter. Brilliant!
If you actually bothered reading the article you linked to, you would know that Wipeout HD renders at native 1920x1080@60fps most of the time. However, it features a dynamic framebuffer that can drop to 1280x1080 to maintain the 60 frames per second refresh rate if necessary. But I guess that for trolling purposes, it doesn't matter if a game runs at 1080p 90% of the time. If it drops silghtly below that even once, It's not full HD anymore.

But nitpicking is the very essence of these comparisons.
I remember the good old days, when you could immediately tell the difference between Mortal Kombat on the Mega Drive and Mortal Kombat on the SNES. Now you need side-by-side screenshots, zoomed in 400% and assisted by image analyzing hardware, because the human eye can't detect the differences by itself. How pathetic is that?! I'm a long time fan of both GT and DMC. I'm still buying GT5 day 1, but I won't touch DmC even with a 10 foot stick. By the way, that's how it's spelled now... DmC. (sigh)
Shooters are the most oversaturated genre of this generation. The new entries in the COD and MOH series will keep trigger happy gamers busy for the next few months. I don't see why they specifically need an exclusive title for that purpose. Unless it's for the bragging rights, but that's immature fanboy territory.
