How about some more shadowing on...hmmm...everything? I hate this engine.
I hate this engine. Bethesda, please make a new one, and throw out ALL CODE from gamebryo. I know Skyrim supposedly has a new engine, but it has gamebryo written all over it.
I've been doing this in previous battlefield games for YEARS. This is absolutely nothing new at all.
You know you're reading a game-industry editorial when the first word is "damn".
Smh...
This game gives me such much fucking grief...I regularly lose half an hour to an hour of gameplay because of game-breaking freezes. I absolutely hate Bethesda's game engine, and I sincerely hope they start from scratch. Oblivion, Fallout 3 and now Skyrim are nothing but big-ass clusterfuck bug fests.
Ignorant? I am anything but ignorant. I have been playing Bethesda's gamebryo-engine games for five years, and the same EXACT game-breaking bugs occur over and over.
A few new features, new story and game world doesn't hide the fact that within fifteen minutes of launching Skyrim, I got stuck in a wall, found several AI environmental navigation exploits, and my horse that I paid 1,000 gold for walked off the top of a tower.
The fact remains that game...
Sorry, but Skyrim is still the crappy gamebryo-powered bugfest we have been playing since oblivion in 2006.
News complaining about news is just as annoying as annoying news.
So what!?
Install and play it. Stop writing "news" stories about it. Be glad that there even IS a remake, you big babies.
The unfortunate thing is, you think you will be heading toward quality, whereas with Call of Duty and Halo, those are the same damned games rehashed over and over. My good friends who have been Halo and COD fanatics since 2001/2003 are pretty darn sick of it all now.
Yeah, so EA gobbled up some sports licenses and wants to protect their investments with one-time use online codes (the used market where the consumer is always ripped off anyway is where game devs and pubs lose t...
Horrible "comparison".
There aren't two equal screenshots in that entire lineup. How is this a comparison at all when no two images are alike?
Xbox needs *a* Kevin Butler
Fixed.
Meh
JohnApocalypse makes a good point. For 15 dollars...and a better looking and updated version of the CS we have all come to know and love...I'll take it. Valve always gives you your money's worth, so I'm sure we'll all get what we pay for. And this game will probably be supported for 5 or more years like CS: Source.
P.S. - With an updated CS...It's not too much of a stretch to expect an updated DoD. And that excites me too.
This looks like a quality reboot of Counter-Strike. Very nice looking. I've been waiting for an update to CS for several years.
lol I would go Astro, Turtle Beach, Bose, Sennheiser, Klipsch, and Bang & Olufsen before I would touch those overrated, overpriced ghetto bass-blaster beats headphones. Yeah I've listened through them. Meh. So far, I've only seen pretentious hipsters and gangster wanna-be fools drop the money on those.
Except age "restrictions" are not laws, at least not in the US. They are only guidelines lackadaisically "enforced" by retailers. So no "cracking down" will occur unless laws are passed similar to tobacco and alcohol restriction laws.
More and more science has proven that the soccer moms crying wolf (through frivolous lawsuits) are only looking for scapegoats for the bad behavior of their poorly-disciplined children.

@ Peaceful_Jelly
Ah, the good ol' days =)
Never thought I'd see the day! lol hooray MART
Game Informer = GameStop = pushy pre-order-happy salespersons only interested in getting your money long before you have a chance to rationally think about whether you need that game in 6 months on the night of release or not.
It's all about the business. This reveal will be hyped to no end and employees will point to this issue when people are in the store and say...
"So, would you like to pre-order the new blah blah blah game that was revealed in t...
