Gameplay is definitely first, but it is proven that aesthetic appeal in a game is important. That cannot be ignored.
... I played metal gear solid 4 for 26 hours straight the first time. Should I be dead too?
Meh. Color me unimpressed. You don't just take the "PlayStation" out of a PlayStation-focused service. That's just dumb.
It's really difficult to play co-op games properly when idiots are competing all the time. Teamwork is what makes a co-op game compelling and exciting.
By definition, co-op (cooperative) mode is when you are supposed to COOPERATE and work together towards a common goal. Competition, by definition and by nature, puts individuals, teams or groups at odds with one another and will naturally dissolve proper teamwork and cooperation.
So, let's try this on...
Nope.
=/
I hate that. I understand the laser screwing with your vision, but the flashlights?? Probably one of the more annoying things about BF3. Tons of n00bs running around with auto shotguns and flashlights. So ridiculous. It seems like the Call of Duty feeling is just inescapable these days.
I think the most important piece of eye candy in any video game is shadowing for *all* world objects and characters. Gives weight and presence to everything.
Without it, games (like Oblivion, Fallout 3/NV, and now Skyrim) seem to lack realism.
I seriously cannot believe, going on 6 years later, that people have the balls to say that the ps3 doesn't output 7.1 audio. To even begin to suggest the ps3 is restricted to the same audio output ability as the xbox 360 is absolutely blasphemous.
Anyone who buys a headset thinking that they are getting true positional, discrete surround sound is sorely misinformed and/or delusional.
I'm just gonna go ahead and say "no".
lol. Some games are so bad that they warrant a playthrough just to trash and make fun of it.
I'd say this generation, with the across-the-board implementations of online play and downloadable content, has officially ushered in the era of "business first, quality second" gaming. It started with Xbox LIVE last gen, and it's now seen on all platforms.
The gaming industry is too big now, with huge publishing houses that care only about DLC, profit margins, subscribers, subscriptions, taking advantage of budget gamers looking for used games...
...
What a joy to watch lol
Eww.
Oh look! New news guy writing new news stories about new news!
Damn.
Moral of the story...never run several ranks deep, single file, down a long hallway.
Damn lucky bastards!
Of course advertising is normal, but when a publication advertising a reveal is directly linked to a business that is notorious for wringing gamers' wallets dry, then it's an issue.
Is the stuttering fixed? Are the freezes fixed? That's all I care about.
