you haven't read the article. Naughty Dog and other Sony first party devs always say the same thing because they work on single console and try to push the console as far as they can in the best possible way. That's exactly what Epic games has done with Gears 3: Taking advantage of Xbox360 architecture.
I want to get into the beta simply because I want to play one of my most anticipated games of this year.
yeah I agree. Microsoft may have a chance in the next console to prevent piracy. I don't think they can now.
Both games look impressive. But I like the colorful visuals of Crysis 2 more.
looks amazing. Can't wait to play it on my Xbox360.
the biggest problem in the demo is the textures popin/out. It make the game look unpolished and hard to see faraway enemies. Also, the PC version won't support DX11 from day one, they will release it in a patch. The PS3 version has the lowest native resolution of the three versions. Every version has it shares of issues.
The Witcher 2 looks great. But Skyrim is open-world, The Witcher 2 is not. So imo Skyrim is more impressive.
Great year for RPG fans. Check out the list:
1. Skyrim
2. Dragon Age 2
3. Mass Effect 3
4. Dark Souls
5. The Witcher 2
and many more I can't remember now. So excited.
I guess the game will be announced in the upcoming E3 with a 2012 release date.
Sony shouldn't have removed the support for installing other OS. Sony dug their own grave.
I agree. What I like about Platinum games that they make games that feels like a game. Pure fun.
Platinum games is the best developer in the industry right now.
is very satisfying and it has a great conclusion. It isn't a cliffhanger, it makes you wonder what will happen next. It's hard to explain without spoiling the ending. Also, the game is 20+ hours of gameplay the devs didn't make a 8-10 game with a cliffhanger ending. It's long and satisfying. GOW3 ending has a great conclusion but it didn't explain what will happen next for the franchise. Same thing for Lords of shadow. So don't complain if you didn't see the ending...
always Judge the game by yourself.
"ts pure flamebait, why couldnt he just say the game looks stunning and leave it at that.. oh thats right U2 is the graphical benchmark on consoles, but still flamebait."
It isn't flamebait. The author mentioned that he wrote an article in June and he listed five games (Lords of Shadow is one of them) that do have the potential to match the best visuals seen in many PS3 exclusives. Also Uncharted 2 is the graphical benchmark on consoles so comparing it to Unchar...
this how I feel about some games. These days most devs are focusing on creating cinematic experiences over making a game that feel as a game.
I'm Also a big soccer fan. Fifa 11 is a must buy for me. So many great titles next month.
October will be a very good month for gamers. Enslaved, Lords of Shadow, Vanquish and Fable 3!!! what a great month it will be.
The game is going to be epic.
@BK-201 from digital foundry gears 3 analysis" Despite the lack of any form of AA in the beta code, it has to be said that overall image quality in the beta is excellent, and jaggies are hardly an issue at all; this is mostly down to a combination of the artwork style lacking extreme contrast and also in the accomplished post-processing effects. Indeed, if anything we see an improvement over Gears 2 here - the majority of the older game's specular aliasing issues are all but gone.&...
