They are definately right about price. Both high def disc formats cost too much. HD-DVD is making great strides when it comes to low price players (low quality, but the price is in the right range), but with both formats the discs still cost too much. Many new releases are in the $35CDN and plus range, even many catalog titles are in that price range. It just isn't worth buy movies at those prices. If they could bring catalog titles down to only a slight premium over their DVD counter parts, ...

Rabble rabble rabble rabble, rabble rabble rabble. But seriously, not a good way to compare. I'd look for things like better textures, models, AA etc..., not settings you can tweak on your tv. Good way to get a flame war started.

I definately agree. Who cares which side "wins". Both are just discs that are storage mediums for the content. I don't know why there are always fanboys liking one company versus another, even if one has a crummier product. An example I can think of is basically everyone from my hometown loves Arctic Cat for snowmobiles and Honda for ATVs/dirtbikes/motorcycles. Even if another company comes out with a better quality vehicle with better features for less, they would still go with one...

Wow, now that is a nice list of games, multiplatform included or not. I definately want to pick up more then half of those games list. Just wow (who knows how all of them will turn out, but still).

A new Perfect Dark title would be interesting. Perfect Dark Zero was a pretty shoddy sight. I mean, all it was was a game made for the original Xbox ported over to the 360 last minute (mind you, most of the launch games where just ports of PC or Xbox games anyway), shoddy graphics, w...

Nice. Too bad Microsoft still overcharges us canadians for points over the USA. $15.50 for 1000 points, when our dollar is worth more then theirs and their points only cost 12.50 for 1000. That makes our points to theirs cost relatievely 1.296 times more. No thanks for now.

NO MORE XBL ARCADE GAMES IN MY PROFILE, woo hoo. That is awesome. Finally we can all get rid of some clutter in there. And a personal profile. Neat. Probably we will never see true support for 16x10 resolutions, oh well.

A lot of the not so popular or "terrible" games that do appear in the Backwards Compatibility updates are usually a product of getting other games working. As Microsoft's coders improve the code the emulator uses, they tend to get many games working better at the same time. If they improve it for one games, chances are it will improve for multiple games.

Hopefully, now that we can soon download original Xbox games, they will continue on improving the emulator to the p...

Hopefully a few people will be swayed away from this inflated price system and move to one of the next generation systems, like the 360 or PS3. The Wii is fun and all, but it's overpriced and there really aren't a whole lot of really good games for it. There are some great games on the Wii, but not when you compare it to the library the 360 has. I feel that system is fairly gimmicky, but that's me. Nobody should be charging these prices for last generation hardware. And people will pay for it...

You know, if you stare long and hard at those images in the links, you can almost make out a car in the background. Weird eh?

It's just the way the word is used. People do use words like "jew", among others I don't need to mention, in a derogatory way as well, it's just some examples. But yeah, gay on it's own is usually used in such a way. Like I said, it's the way our world (and XBox Live) works. It's not pretty at all but it unfortunately true.

Total 100% agreement. It's not right, but you know it's going to happen. Someone was just trying to garner themeselves some attention, plain and simple.

6765d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

That could be true. There are people out there who will do anything for some kind of attention, especially with the possibility of getting the mass media involved. It is the world we live in. Might even try to sue Microsoft for this somehow. Not saying it's true, but I'm not saying it isn't either.

Note to people out there still thinking of a name for Xbox Live: do not use a title such as "gay boy", you're just asking to get talked smack to like this guy did. When I go online, I don't want to know if your gay or not. Hell, I don't even want to know if your straight and how many women you slept with last weekend, I don't care. I just want to play the game at hand. Choose something less likely to get ripped on. You don't see many Jewish people calling themselves "CheapJew12...

And you know why they don't want to do any kind of improvements to these games: time and money. They don't want to have to pay people to recode these games to run natively on the 360 and give them improvements, when they already have the emulation of these titles mostly done. Nor do they wish to pay people to spend time adding new content to these games. I'm sure most purists wouldn't be mad if the games were improved somewhat. I wouldn't complain about better framerates and the like. But, th...

The pricing isn't all that bad when you consider all the extra work that is involved besides just the music. They have to code all the note tracks for all the instruments, that's a fair bit of work. Plus, they have to come up with what those tracks look like too. So, it is reasonable that they will cost more then something off of iTunes or what have you.

That being said, I will not be buying anymore MS points until Microsoft fixes it's pricing for Canada. There is no way I'm pa...

Well, at least they are being honest with us. Sure, on one hand, we won't be getting any added functionality with any games. But, on the other hand, it will give people a chance to play older games they may have missed. I think 1200 MS points is way too much for many games though, especially in Canada where Microsoft has yet to adjust their pricing for us (our dollar is at around $1.08 USD, yet we pay $15.75 CDN for 1000 points, give me a break). I won't be buying any of these games until tha...

Agreed. A 2 day time frame would be nice. Bring it over to Canada and I'll care more though, lol.

Well, they never said they were using 30% ofthe PS3's power, just 30% of what all the SPU's can do in a game. The Cell processor is so far ahead of it's time that it will be a few years before it get's truly utilized. It's just too bad that the PS3 uses up so much RAM for running everything it has to in the background. But, it will give the fanboys on both sides something to argue about for years. It's always going to be that RAM is the PS3s biggest problem. Uncharted looks great, and it's on...

A swords gametype for Lone Wolf. Me thinks I will finally have a chance to get that Steppin' Razor Achievement, and all without ever having to beg to get it. Nice.

And reduced Oddball is always great. Reduce King of the Hill/Crazy King and this will be perfect.

If the kid checked auto-renew it's their problem, not Microsofts. Charge your kid with identity theft instead moron. I know my Live account doesn't auto renew on it's own, so no fraud for Microsoft. Now if you excuse me, I'm going to go and poor some hot coffee on myself, might get some money from McDonald's.
