It's a good game, so it's great it sold well. It's just something fun you can pick up and play for a little while and pretty much do whatever you want. Explore, do some missions, do some side activities (spraying the city down with a septic truck was priceless).

This is the kind of game that appeals to the more casual crowd but is, at the same time, fun for the hardcore crowd. 360 and PS3 don't need more kid friendly games, they need more mature casual games like this. Kids don't...

I would have liked to see Ocarina of Time on the list. I played through that game start to finish 4 or 5 times, I enjoyed it that much. Majora's Mask, well, that one you either liked it or didn't. I beat it and thought it was an alright game, it was unique, but I've known other people who just did not enjoy the time mechanics at all. Once you figured out how to slow down time, it was pretty much the same as any other Zelda game.

Twilight Princess, well I lost interest about halfw...

Definitely one of the greatest parts of Red Alert 3 is her in her skimpy little outfit.

Anyway, I hope that they don't try and do the stupid downloadable content thing with RA3. I like having a complete box set for the expansion pack with all the bells and whistles. EA is just rubbing their grubby money hungry hands together. "Instead of charging 40 dollars for the expansion pack, we can make more if each part is separate". Don't be dinks EA. Being a PC game, we'll get ...

They probably will release a PC version sooner or later. But, this game is meant to push consoles this holiday season. As has been said before, after the sales go down, they will probably announce a PC version for sometime early or mid 2009 (my guess). Though this time, I doubt they will include any exclusive content, since many people were pissed last time about that. They might include a map pack with it that will be released later on the 360, but that is about it I bet. Personally, I'm hop...

I would love to see RE5 on my PC but please Capcom, don't screw it up like most of your other PC releases. And make it support games for windows (or even better, games for windows LIVE). I really love knowing the game will run fine on Windows Vista 64-bit, proper resolution support, etc... (and achievements and use of my gamertag are sweet).

4870 X2 FTW.

Well said Fishy Fingers and Ju. It's not only a matter of how powerful the RSX and the Cell are, but how much available memory there is available for the framebuffer. 1080p takes twice as much memory as 720p, since there are double the pixels to draw. I'm sure if the PS3 had more available RAM (I would ballpark somewhere between 796 and 1024 megabytes), and if the RSX was a little more powerful (though many clever developers use part of the Cell to aid in graphics processing, so not necessari...

It's not too bad of a game, but having the co-op commander always with you can get quite annoying after awhile. They are just so stupid at times that they have no value in combat, then at other times they seem to get half the mission done before you even really get going. More fun with a real human in control of them, or if they weren't there at all.

If they are using that extra blu-ray space they should at least try to make the videos full screen size. On the PC they put a borde...

Man, ATI and it's partners have released a lot of different as of late. Nvidia is guilty of that too of course. They already have the 4870 X2, and under that would be the one gig 4870. Power and price wise, where would this new card fit? Probably just under the 4870 X2 I suppose, no doubt it is more powerful then the single chip solutions ATI offers. But, bang for buck two 4850s is usually the way to go. This just makes it easier.

Still, it's probably not a bad move on their part...

A disagree for suggesting to those people who want their desired resolution to pick up the PC version? Who hates the PC, I'm sure 80-90% of the people on the internet are using a PC. What's there to hate, it's a box with some hardware in it.

I like all consoles, but the PC is usually superior visually.

Too many trolls around here.

So the current understanding is that both games run at true 720p? So they are both almost identical except for a few framerate issues on the PS3 version? What's there to be mad at? Who's got the better console and they have to justify it. Please, go get a girlfriend.

If you want to go and whine about these issues, go and pick up the PC version. I'm sure this game will put my 4870 X2 to the test. It tamed Crysis and Crysis: Warhead with all the eye candy on and some AA and AF, and...

Nice to see them bring the efficiency up with this new engine, and it's a game that actually uses quad core CPUs, thank you, now I don't feel like I completely wasted my money on my Q9450 (it's actually not too bad, but it doesn't overclock nearly as well as a dual core e8400 or e8500, those can hit well over 4 Ghz on air, mine can hit 3.4-3.5 maybe). Hopefully the radeon 4870X2 performance improves, but it's still the best single card solution on their (even if it is just 2 1 gig 4870s in cr...

Yep, the arcade SKU is a P.O.S. by any standard. HD cables would be an easy inclusion, all they are are a couple of extra wires on the end more or less, and a switch to change from SD to HD. Regular component cables are just a bunch of copper wire, I don't think copper and plastic are THAT expensive.

But really, no HDD, that is just low. Hell, they could scrap the HDD altogether in that size and throw in like a 4, 8, 16 or 32 gigabyte flash card instead. Ordered a couple microSD ...

All I have to say is, getting a bulltrue in Halo 3 when someone is charging at you is pretty satisfying.

This isn't too bad, I can deal with these rules, but it is completely pointless. These are no longer the days were pirating a game meant copying onto a floppy disk and passing it onto your friends. Most people these days couldn't even figure out how to properly bypass most copy protection software. However, there are a few who do, and what these people do is crack the game, wash out all the copyright protection a few days or weeks before the game is released, and put it up on a torrent site. ...

Probably none since nobody has hacked the PS3 yet, but don't worry, it will happen. I remember last generation when the PS2 and the Xbox were easily hacked by everyone and their dog, but the Gamecube remained untouched for years. Even then, when they did initially hack it, it needed the broadband adapter and a copy of a certain Phantasy Star game in order to work, and you had to stream the games off of your PC. Not too efficient, and only for the elite hacker.

But, of course a mo...

I don't mind Vista that much, it can eat all the memory it wants I've got 4 gigs right now, and I've got 4 more waiting to be put in right away (64-bit version guys). I find it to be quite stable and I enjoy it. Some things are in different places now but that stuff just takes time to figure out. Now, could they have implemented most of this stuff into Windows XP, probably.

I have to admit, just running the OS I have not had my system crash either. I've had it freeze up playing C...

Dammit, yeah this is why we have crap like Starforce and Securom in our games these days, it's because of this piracy problem. I don't mind paying for games, especially great games like this (well, hopefully Fallout 3 is a great game, haven't tried it yet). But I'm only the 1 out of 10 or whatever they say it is who actually buy these games and support the developers. Because if this piracy thing keeps going, we are going to see crappier, free games out there loaded with ads that we are going...

Capcom is certainly leading the pack with their remakes and new games in old series. Bionic Commando, Mega Man 9, Street Fighter 2, Wolf of the Battlefield and 1942, adding MvC2 on top of all of that would be a real treat. And you know they would probably try and update the art too.

On top of that, I hope Capcom starts porting and remaking a few of their other franchises onto Live and PSN. That Mega Man X remake on the PSP couldn't hurt if it came over as a download, or many of C...

Hmm, between the 512 MB Radeon and the Gainword 1 gig card, there does not seem to be a whole lot of performance difference in almost all cases. The card does seem to scale nicely in Crossfire for most games though. But, if you plan on doing that right away, you might as well just pick up a 4870 X2 instead.

What's really the highlight of this card is the non-reference cooler, it really seems to make a big difference in temperatures for this card. A 20 degree drop in temperatures ...

Dreamcast was a nice system, it's too bad it went before it's time. Lots of Quake engine based games in there that got the axe I see, and fair number of games from Microsoft too. Even System Shock 2 was supposed to come out on this bad boy, damn.

Well, if anybody missed out on Max Payne, I see that the game is on Steam now, and you can get either the first or second game for 9.99USD, or both together for 14.99. Not too bad, both games were great.
