Coming from someone that's played the X1 on two occasions. I can confirm that Killer Instinct, Ryse and DR3 are really solid games. DR3 being the most fun I've had in a while and Killer instinct being a favorite of my friends.

I think the game is a 9. I can't find anything bad about it other than bugs.
I've seen much more linear shooters. BF4 actually has sections that let you approach a situation any way you want, just like in Bad Company.
But who cares about a SP review? The multiplayer is fantastic!

That's just unfortunate because a lot of the new maps and modes were tons of fun.
"but I rarely saw the player-triggered moments occur." Me too, and I'm glad, I don't want every match to be "Go destroy the thingy lol" and everyone just bought the game so they don't know how to destroy certain stuff.
Conquest doesn't work as well on consoles as it does on PC. PC players have no problem playing every mode, but on the consoles, Obliteration is the best mode to have plenty of action and uses the whole map and doesn't feel empty.
That's just sad.
The creators beat it's creation.

Cold front was awesome too but was sos underplayed. It would be a great Rush map! Backstab was on rotation 24/7 though and it was so good!
I hope when they remake it they make it like they did with Operation Locker. There are a lot of choke points but also a lot of flank routes aswell.
Oasis, yes. The other two, ehhh. Arica Harbor was a great map though.

Just to tell you about DR3, it's made by an in house MS studio so it's much different from the previous DRs. And I can attest that DR3 was the most fun I had in a game all year, and a lot of people would go back to playing it at the Xbox Event to find new combos to try out. It was the best game they had there, but who knows how the final version will turn out.

It still doesn't matter. Right now the price difference between the PS4 and Xbox 1 is a choice between features or performance. Without the Kinect your still paying the same price for a lower spec system. I'd rather pay $400 for a lesser performing system WITH unique features than to pay more for a system that selling point are the features and not the system.
Battlefield needs the exposure, CoD sells on the name alone and needs no introduction.
