It's a very long shot that it'd come out cheap, but as you say, the specs point to it being more - not less. Not sure why Sony suddenly thinks that people have got all this money to buy its consoles. I seem to remember the PSOne being competitive at the least. These days everything they put their name on doubles in price.
Yeah - if your old games were still available as downloads, that'd be fantastic. Unfortunately that's also about as likely as it being a budget priced system.
I think you're right - price is going to be the major factor here. And it needs to be mega cheap.
Oh man, that's all I need. I've only just managed to put this damn game down!
Nice picture! Hope she's in the game ;-)
What's odd about baseball games is that I'm not remotely interested in sports, yet I find baseball games to be strangely appealing. Weird that.
Some good ones on this list, too.
=D
Looks like a sweet game, but I'm just not convinced I can be bothered with a 700MB download - especially when it tries to update itself five times.
Shame though, because the game looks good.
A piece of junk? Disgruntled PSP fan are we ;-)
The iPhone rules. Who cares if it only sends photos by email? It's a superb games system, and gets more support that all the other handheld platforms put together.
BIG fan of this game. Awesome. Good review.
I played the hell out of SPider-Man 2 on the PS2 :-D
Personally, I think the iPhone's doing pretty well in terms of movie licenses. On the whole, they're still bad, but games like Shooter, and Iron Man have beeon pretty good on the iPhone.
Hopefully this one will continue the trend.
Wow - this does look pretty impressive for a movie license. I actually don't have very high hopes for the film, but this game looks pretty awesome.
Yikes. Can't believe how fast that happened.
Yes! More iPhone fighting games! That what we want!
This one is a hell of a lot of fun online, and it'll suit the iPhone down to the ground. Hope it's gonna have some kind of multiplayer.
Sweet. Glad they waited to get it up to speed before releasing it. As the article says, that's what most developers would have done.
Better grab this fast if you want it - the Big N won't stand for these kind of shenanigans for long!
Brave of them to give it a go, though, and proves how little App Store approvers must actually play games if they didn't realize what a blatant clone this is :-S
I think Iwata actually put it quite well. A device that uses the mobile phone network has a lot of additional functionality, though it doesn't necessarily have to be a phone (in a traditional manner).
And no one even played with the PS3 yet, either ;-)
It's not been confirmed that the PSP4000 development was stepped up, is what that paragraph is saying. That's what's believed to have happened. The source confirms the PSP2, though.
Hmmm, good point. I wonder if it's going to be region locked? If not, it's imports all the way. But knowing Sony, they'll have thought of this and made them region specific.
