The only downside is with the internet being as big as it is, it wouldn't take too long now for the codes to spread.
Another way around it would be to use something like EA's access code, the downside to that though would be it would kill the second hand game market
There are different types of hackers, people like Anon want to disrupt the service Sony offers, then there are other hackers who pirate software by getting around the encryption process.

No lead platform is a BS statement we know it's ported over onto the PS3 from the 360, when BO was first released on the PS3 it was freezing peoples consoles but not on the xbox 360.
When I was converting xbox 360 patches for MW2 and transfering them to PS3 sometimes when I converted them wrong they would freeze my PS3 in the same way (naughty modder I know, which leads me to think BO lead platform was the 360 just like MW3 will be
Not all "hackers" want that, I wanted the ability to have Linux back on MY PS3 and play games online.
I don't agree with the piracy issue or the attack on Sony and it's customers.
