OK, this clears some sh!t up.
Firstly, I don't think it comes down to people not taking care of their discs. Neither me, nor my brother have ever had damaged a disc deyond use (or even made it difficult to read) and I have never had any problem with discs in the 360...excpet for Gears of war.

When I roadie run - mostly in online play - it's because I'm either trying to get somewhere fast, or I'm trying to escape from danger in a manor of haste. In both circumstances, I DO NOT want to take cover. If a do want to roadie run into cover, it's most likely I'll just run head on into the object, not stick into it from the side.

As a 360 owner and a former XBox owner, I was happy to make the upgrade, and personally, I think too much emphasis is placed on backwards compatibility issues for the PS3 and 360. If I want to keep playing Xbox/PS2 games, I'll keep the console. I buy a new console because I want something new. I do actually still play some old XBox games on my 360 (Halo, Halo 2, Ninja Gaiden, Half Life 2) but it should really be considered a bonus. Of course, I sold alot of my old games as I finished them...

Sorry, but I felt I had to say what was on my mind. It's not something I thought of while reading everybody's praise, it was what I felt while watching the video. I have to say my mind. I suppose by itself it is a good looking game, but so much has been said about how amazing this game will be, that to me, this footage simply didn't blow me away. I'm not saying the game will be crap, I'm still be interested in playing it, only that my expectations are somewhat lowered.

These vids have actually made me less interested in the game. seeing enemies on screen reminded me of N3 (in a not good way), and for God's sake, more bullet time? the graphics don't look all that impressive either (the grass...lol the grass...) but the sea does look amazing.

Seriously, Halo 3's alpha build kicks the crap out of Halo 2 graphically. Still not the enourmous leap I would like, but for any one who's seen the PROPER vidoc and not this rubbish comparison video will know the difference. My only concern is the simular animation, but even the animation isn't complete yet.
The shots of Halo 2 in this video are good, but the Halo 3 ones are poor. Go and watch the vidoc for yourselves.
I may be an XBox fan, but you deserve a boubble for saying "fuk the bubbles" ;)
My advice? Get a 360 for now, get a PS3 when the price comes down/better games come out/rumble available.

" 19 things you didn't notice..." umm, actually, I noticed EVERY one of those things from the vid doc, and in fact, I knew some of those things (e.g. AR starting weapon, AR no recoil, e.t.c.) BEFORE the vid doc. Because I work at Bungie? No, because I read the weekly updates and Franky said AGES ago that the AR will replace the SMG for the starting weapon.

But only if you want to pay for it. That's the problem with the PS3 in my view. Bu-Ray is fine as a "bonus", but not when it's adding another £100 on the console. I simply don't want to invest in any next-gen format yet. That's why it's usefullness in games will justify whether it's worth the extra bucks. People can remind me that Resistance is 15 gig, but I see nothing in that game that shows it.
The problem is, people try to judge games too early, and initially, they'll go by the graphics in the screen shots/trailers.
All games in alpha code look like dogsh!t you retard. It seems you've still not recovered from having your head sniped off by Gears of war.
Edit: @ Marion: Ha! Resistance's crappy graphics grows on you...that's exactly how I felt about Call of Duty 2.(which I think is a good game by the way.)
