I was a very big fan of the original MGS on the Playstation. However, I didn't like MGS 2, and after that I lost interest. I'm really on the fence with MGS 4. The latest trailer in particular has perked my interest in the game again, but I really want more playability. I know MGS is about being cinematic, that's what's so great about it, but I also want to enjoy playing the game without being interupted every 10 seconds.
It's certainly one of the PS3 games that interest me,...
Silicon Knights, who are currently making the Too Human trilogy.
Blue Dragon came on 2 discs and it still sold, so obviouly you're wrong about it "not being acceptable" in this day and age. it would a bit of a shame if the only advantage Blu-Ray brings to the industry is to keep multi-disc games on a single disc.
Buying an exclusive...I don't understand. What's the problem? In order to have a game on your console alone, you pay the publishers...it's a business deal, not bribery. It's not illegal. There's nothing wrong with it. The game industry has been doing it for ages.
it's like TV channels paying to be only ones to air a particular series.
How was wii-fit the biggest news at E3? It's just announcing a perpherial. And there aren't going to be any new hardware announcements, because all three consoles have been released. AT this point, it's about games. And most of the ones you've seen on youtube (seriously, Youtube? lol, go to gametrailers for better quality) are videos of live demostrations.
Who was the n00b in the video asking about the bubble shield? Is this the first time he's heard of Halo 3?
EDIT: OMFG! I just saw a clip of the film Hairspray...I feel like dying...
He said "Halo's AI" referring to Halo as a series (i.e. the previous 2 games) not Halo 3.
EDIT @ Sushifx: cool then.
How can you twist this round to insult Xbox fanboys? Every FPS that comes out from September onwards is going to have 4 player co-op. Every dev wants their game to have player co-op. No one's copying anyone.
I think if it didn't have 4 player co-op Bungie would have said so by now, because everyone really expects it to, so they'd need to do damage control. But I think this is confirmation enough. I just hope it's implementation is aon par with Haze, we're you can also have a mix of split screen and system link, and still allow people to jump in (and out) at any point, during gameplay.
Why would anyone buy the a PS3 with 2 games if those games don't interest them?
The alpha version of Killzone 2, is probably short, buggy, unbalanced, incomplete, glitchy and unfinished. The final version of Halo 3, is a complete experience with a classic online mode. How is this a fair comparison?
Now we know why.
Halo 3 was brilliant graphics. But Killzone's are even better.
Halo 3's gameplay would have all the brilliant stuff from the old Halo games but now with loads of new weapons, huge stages, open missions, massive confrontations and cool features like the ability to save and replay gameplay footage. I also think Halo has the better art design by far.
Killzone I reckon would play like Call of Duty. Hectic action, but ultimately linear gameplay. With the addition ...
A bubble for liking Linkin Park.
Good on any game that has 60fps. But there's not really that much a big difference. Just look Forza 2. 60 fps, but with what benefit? The PGR 3 was 30 fps.
I'm talking about a console, there's no need to take it personal or anything. I was just making the same point that many have already said, which is that the next XBox will be alot more powerful than the current PS3. If it makes you feel any better, the PS4 will also make the PS3 look like a NES.
That's good, bu they still need to change the shape IMO. At least make it a tad more chuncky.
A "stand alone DVD player" is a device that only plays DVDs. A PS3 is a multimedia device. The article specifically refers to stand alone units. Is the PS2 a stand-alone DVD player?
It's not an issue of how much extra stuff he gets with it. It's how high the price is. He'd be more willing to buy it if it costs £50-£100 cheaper.
Don't do it! You WILL lose I'm afraid...
