The ps3 will still be selling through 2015 so this gen isnt over until the last guy is done. It's not a sprint but a marathon. Do people think a generation is over when the first system drops out because xbox would have been declared the winner when Microsoft stopped support after 3 years.

I think your mind is a bit slow. Wii u is a weak console and its hardware power is comparable to ps3 and xbox which are six and seven years old.
Pc is basically infinitely upgradable so the consoles or any consoles can't compare to it.

The ps3 will probably be about 105million sold by then outselling all the consoles on the market now to be the second highest selling console below ps2. The ps2 might be around 180 million sold by then also
I do like that Sony supports their systems for years after they release a newer upgraded version. They are the only company that does that and its commendable.
A lot of games aren't being optimized for the Wii u because a lot of developers done see an incentive to do so. If the company Nintendo isn't known as a core gamers system or a system that focuses on high fidelity graphics games then the developers won't waste the time and money to produce those sorts of games.
