MS DOES have more first party content at launch, but Sony DOES have more third-party content at launch so i dont get the point that so many of you xbots like to make all the time.
The Playstation division has and continues to make shitloads of money. It's the electronics division that isn't doing well, which is why some investors seek a split of the two divisions.
Sony owns EU, a week doesnt cost them anything. I'd be more worried if i was MS loosing a week in the US which they so badly need to do better in judging by the pre-order numbers on various online retailers. Amazon.com looks bad for MS.
Amazon.co.uk looks even worse for them.
You know it's a tough battle when PS4 has more CoD pre-orders than Xbone in the US.

If MS quits the console race, apple, google, samsung and others are more than likely to enter the market in some form.
The PS4 is more powerfull than the Xbone, but it is nowhere near PC-specs that is true. That is why i will continue to enjoy my games on PC. I do intend to get a PS4 for Sony's exclusives that i enjoy very much.
Down the line i might also get an Xbone if MS gets some cool exclusives.
Funny how fanboys argue which game looks better when nothing has been released yet.
Hardware-wise PS4 should be far better than Xbone, while the MS cloud still is a bit of a question mark in terms of how much it really adds to the console.
Also you gotta consider the software running these things. Something MS has been historically more experienced in.

Respawn is not a very big studio, hence the game doesn't have a "real" single-player campaign and wont be released for Sony platforms at release because they lack manpower to work on all platforms at once. Add to that it's under the EA Partners program.
Xbox is the cod platform, so it was an easy choice for Respawn to choose which version to develop first.

The engine is designed to work on all platforms, and with PS4 being a PC'ish platform now, it only makes sense that development is similar to PS3, because the engine does the work porting to different platforms when they add something to the game i take it?
I can almost cry when i read about people playing these games on consoles and missing out on some of the earlier games. Man you guys missed out on so much i feel sad :(
