I can agree with this assessment. The PlayStation 2 has, in many ways, also invented the concept of the "Home entertainment hub" console. Sure, it doesn't have the vast online capabilities of the Xbox or its successor, but it laid the ground work of a video game console doing more than just gaming that so many others follow to this day.
It also was the first game platform designed, aesthetically, to be placed vertically or horizontally in the living room.

When it comes to the full fledged retail games that are released o PS3 and Xbox 360, there should be at least 2 years in between each iteration. Any less has the potential of screaming "rush job!" in my eyes.
Its also important because it gives the developers more time in making the sequel more different than the last game, so you don't end up with something like Left 4 Dead 2.
lol....I-I got nothing.

The Nintendo Wii can be considered as Nintendo's way of testing the Game Boy Philosophy in the home Console space. While it is not the first consumer product with motion control. it is innovative in its control scheme in the way games can be played. Many kids growing up today will see the Wii the way many of us has seen the N64 in the way it brought analog control to the masses. Of course, there are some noticeable differences between the two, so its only fair to compare them on a practical l...
