this gen has had a serious lack of third person action titles. ones that are good...ng2, dmc4...thats the good list in my opinion. i welcome ninja blade & darksiders...but nb has a lot of qte's. i hope the full game has less emphasis on qte's. heavenly sword is odd in that it is good...but i never felt like i knew what i was doing...even after finishing.

Ninny seems to be doing just this - going as far as to say that Ninny Wii games sux balls 95% of the time with massive amounts of shovelware. Most games have near non-existent advertsing...but the Wii is advertsied like crazy!

I know KZ2 will be a better game than Gears 2 for me...but, I can't see KZ2 outselling Gears 2 or even coming close really. And I thought that it sold only 4 million so far. (only...LOL)
I actually think that GOW3 will be the biggest PS3 title concerning sales...after all the dust settles, GoW3 will be HUGE!!!
I own 360 & PS3...so i have no vested interest in seeing one or the other win in sales or whate...
...Killzone 2 was the deciding factor (and GOW3).
It's a interesting because KZ2 had/has a $50Million+ budget just for R&D...Sony is the publisher and will be solely responsible for all the Marketing - that's another $5 - $10Million...worldwide advertising and localization of that advertising ain't cheap...my gestimate might be way off....it's probably much higher.
Sony should have started heavy with the advertsing already - viral campaign is a great way to get people talkin...
I really think that some of you guys are lookin' for a fight when none is there. This guy isn't some uber spokes person that commands the attention of the media...no body but us even knows he exists (well...his mommy might too.)

I just bought a PS3...for all the obvious reasons, but also because I was getting bored and jaded with FPS's....or Gears 2 which is over-the-shoulder shooter. I like the Gears shooters better as I like to see my guy. But, in this day and age these types of games should all have tangible rewards, upgrades and customizability to help motivate players. But, if for one moment anybody thinks MS is going to let Sony a chance to get ahead, they are not thinking straight. Period.

I am a huge massive GOW fan. I love the mythos and gameplay.
So I'm no hater - but this smells funny.
It could be all innocent...but I just have this nagging feeling that he's trying to pull his foot out of his mouth.
I have no doubt that the game will look and play better than anything in it's genre - but if you all read Jaffe's gushings, he made it sound like GOW3 was going to cure cancer...it was going to be that good!

I don't own a Blu-ray...and am very happy with my 360 upscaling regular dvd's.
I also cheat - as I stream much of my media from AVI with a high bit rate through FDDSHOW...if you really consider your viewing as a videophile, then this option gives you the best picture imaginable. You can control every aspect, and add or subtract artifacting from the original digital source.
But forget all that - it isn't for the ave...

The research I did showed me some startling facts.
When viewing an HD signal...especially from satellite ala your cable company...they often reduce the signal to 720p to cut down on data which in turn saves them processing power at source.

Ok...we all agree that HD 1080p is the cats meow, preferably in 120mhz.
But honestly, their are upscaling dvd players (like OPPO series) that can approximate Blu-Ray visually from a current DVD. Most people can't tell the difference. The TV makes a far bigger impact on the picture than the storage medium...sure HD is a must have if you are still watching SD. But DVD was better than VHS for obvious reasons...the jump to Blu-Ray is not a big enough jump to carry us for say 10yrs ...
I finished this the other night...Fable 2 I mean. I did enjoy the game...and I know that the amount of infinite quest/jobs is cool.
But...I was overall disappointed, here's why:
-Monster variety is non-existent...Lionhead couldn't even give me a spider or bat!
-I found an exploit - find a mess of enimies, bandits are good...kill them all without getting hit and with flourishes (not hard), and just after killing the last guy the xp bonus will appear at the ...
