I tried this game out months and months ago with the *ahem* english patch....
I just couldn't get into it, and these games are my fav type....action-RPG's. I think it was the difficulty and lack of anyone to connect with outside of Japan.
I had the hardest time trying to find some of the beasties - that map isn't very helpful.
Most of this is likely due to having no proper english rules to guide me. The game has a lot to offer. A PS3 version would be awe...
Well, you have a valid point. But people come to forums to discuss their likes/dislikes and "verbalize" their thoughts on topics they wish to speak about. It's also a decent intellectual exercise to try and consider issues that are interesting to the forums users.
Sure we could talk about Iran or North Korea - how about the fake lunar landing? LOL
Now...you say get a life. While trolling these forums....speaks volumes my friend. But, lets consider your argu...
Sorry for the large comments. I'm obviously an enthusiast.
I'm just miffed that Sony didn't do a better job this gen with marketing/PR. I mean unless the universe has gone all crazy on me...Sony has made alot of blunders. Any AD agency intern will tell you that. Heck, that's being insulting to grade school marketing class! LOL
They'd tell you you never rest on you reputation unless you have no current competition.
But I agree - Sony not too worried now, they are thin...
Sorry....I thought it was $800. That goes to show you right there that it's a serious issue. The average consumer probably thinks it was even more! LOL
But we're talking right now. And yeah we can agree a price cut is needed and likely very close. Regardless of what Sony says. But MS can and will meet them - so they need something more to entice future PS3 owners, and that's the exclusives....which mean nothing without advertising. You and I know Uncharted 2 is going to be sick.....
Soda's absolutely right. I don't think that being second is their current goal. They are a business and look to project 5-15yrs ahead.
One thing we all forget - it was on everybody's minds during the HD wars, is that blu-ray player. As DVD starts to decline and Blu takes off even further, we'll see things improve exponentially at Sony.
They are not thinking...Lets make the gamers machine of choice. They are thinking...lets create a gate-way to unending revenue.

I've been playing video games for longer than I can remember. I've had every system form Intellivision to Sega Game Gear ( I wisely skipped the 3DO and Jaguar - LOL).....so what am I getting at?
Well, in the past systems knew what they were and how to market them. TV, Mags & promotions in retail outlets - that's it. Now these days we have this new fangled interweb and it's likely the biggest factor in advertising...mostly due to the target audience and multiplayer requiring s...
f4nboi - I ain't saying your wrong. I'm just saying there's nothing stopping her at the moment from becoming an actress that can garner respect from her peers as well as fans.
Now, it is historically likely that she'll never be able to bridge that gap due to her looks and her current use of said looks.
She knows it - she hasn't made any proclamations of Shakespearean skills. Quite the opposite. She's fairly self-deprecating.
If she can get to where Scarl...
I'm pretty sure the SUN is making this up - last I "heard"....they said Megan wasn't being considered. Nor was Angelina because it is a Origin's flick. But maybe they changed their minds?
Look, Fox hasn't had the chance to do any real character acting. She was good in How to Lose Friends & Alienate People, but it wasn't a stretch for her to act as a version of herself I guess.
Now, she has 5 upcoming movies...she isn't hurting for parts...and most of th...
While I'm the first to say that 90% of movie tie-in games sux donkey ballz...this one looks competent. I watched the live justin.tv video that lens of truth put up.
the bad -
buildings mostly don't crumble under the obvious weight of the robots.
(incidentally the first movie had a similar issue in that I suspect the buildings would've collapsed much quicker. But that's less dramatic isn't it.)
The levels are boxed in by a tron-ish wall. This isn't actuall...
I have to say - this game is sooo freakin fantastic! I beat it with "good" ending with about 60+hrs...as a Thief. It only matters at the start...about 10hrs or so in, your class will be like any other. What you may want to consider is what sex you want to play as. Certain armor sets are male/female only. I was really pissed that I couldn't wear certain sets.
I found the game only moderately difficult - as you level up you'll become awesome - only to get your as handed t...
I have both infamous & prototype for the PS3. I can tell you their is NO screen tearing. NO framerate dips. NO blandness in the environments...it's a city with parks, tall TALL buildings...and the graphics are far above average. Especially for it's genre.
I can't really say which game is better - Infamous feels like a comic book...Prototype feels like a summer blockbuster! Both are cool beans!!!
Their is some pop-up in Prototype...but only far far away, it isn't ...
I own a 360 - but have no idea what it's like from a comparison view point.
Both games are very good...exceptional actually! I give Infamous the edge for graphics and depth - but depth is subjective in this case, I mean Prototype has a lot to do, but smaller areas to explore...not fully open at the beginning...well neither is Infamous.
Anyhow, here the details i look for that COULD mar a game.
-Framerate - Silky smooth even with massive amounts of destruction! ...
I own both systems...and I have to say, MS meh. I used to love my 360 - sadly trashing PS3 when it was the craze. I mean...PS3 DID suck...but it apparent to me in my opinion that Sony is on a roll...and many multiplats are just as good on PS3 as 360. The differences are non-issue these days.
Too early to say Sony has this E3? Well...that's where the smart money is...and they're getting my coin this year.
I played the demo...initially I thought it sucked to. That is not a good thing for a demo.
But after you get the hang of it...it's really quite fun.
I've been watching this game for awhile....it's lineage is epic.
But this demo is indeed underwhelming...but not un-salvageable.
I had no lag that this guy speaks of....but I did have lag on enemies that I shot or zip-kicked, reacting a second late.
That needs to be fixed - and here's a few other things...
---Pistol too weak and needs auto-fire. Let me concentrate on zipping around instead of getting carple tunnel. This isn't going to be a super-co...
Pure & Soul Calibur 4....PS3.
I had Soul Calibur 4 & Pure on my 360....never finished them, traded in for the next big thing. But at this price I'd like to revisit these titles.
Oh...and SC4 for me was waaaaaay better than SF4....unlocks alone make the SC4 a better deal.
I think the only issues really important to PS3 owners is whether the game will suffer from MS deal with SquareEnix. And if we all look at this from a marketing and corporate viewpoint, SqaureEnix is very likely going to gimp the PS3 version. To do otherwise is to blatantly wave a "PS3 is better" flag!
I can't see how this wasn't an issue brought up during the infamous meeting with MS & SquareEnix...and I'm certain MS saddled them with restrictions.
I have both syste...
I just got the RROD last week...thank god for my PS3!
My box though - it started freezing and then the screen went black...turned it off and on and it worked for a minute...then died permanently RROD.
My Box is an arcade unit that I upgraded to a 120GB...so I've invested monies. Now, my box was under warranty...and I will continue to use the warranty. (I would assume the warranty for RROD would be reset as many times they send you a completely different machine.)
it does play slower than ng2...but the hits feel substantial. ng2 had alot of weak attacks mixed into the combos...nb, just feels solid. i don't wanna sound too nerdish...but all these ninja games, while awesome fun...fight like samurais. tenchu is far closer to truth. lol
which reminds me...wheres onimusha this gen? loved those games!
I see both sides to this. I wonder - does anybody here know and want to share the specific cost and profit details of devs/publishers on 360 & PS3?
I wonder if Activision & Tecmo-Koei actually make MORE per game sale on PS3 vs 360?
Regardless, this is all about increasing sales via install base - more potential customers. This is no different than any other industry.
