I don't get you guys who say kill off perks. Perks help define your chracter the way you like him/her. (him's only but you get my drift)

It's strange that when I said this was going to happen before Kinects launch...I was laughed at. But even then Gears 3 & Forza, Halo was all MS had.

Rage is a good game, even great at times. But you have to be a fps fan that likes mad max.
Think about mad max. Nobody really knew wtf was going on other than survivors were trying to do just that...survive. It's like that....narrative is minimal. Racing combat is fun and tight.
I really enjoyed rage for what it was. Exploration fps. Lol

See, i find it implausible that casuals are in these forum discussions...but it must be! Any hardcore gamer will tell you Wii was a massive failure for them. A handful of titles in the entirety of a systems lifespan is not good for "hardcore" gamers.

Keep in mind that Nintendo may have a few "adult" games....in large part Nintendo markets itself as the wholesome alternative to Sony & MS.
So I personally can't see Nintendo courting titles that we associate with the other two consoles. A few of course, but can any of you really see saints row 3 on a Nintendo machine?
But a large reason people play RPGs is to see the progression. Third person is best.
This review is exceptionally thorough, I have no reason to believe any of it is in error.
So, that being said - i'm cancelling my pre-order. And it's really only for 3 reasons. 1st...no new enemy types. I play RPG's for the exploration aspect. Big part of that is encountering new enemies. 2nd is the difficulty, from this source as well as some friends on PSN (playing Japanese ver), it's just too easy. 3rd...lastly, it's single player. I'll miss nothing...
I can see the mp being kinda throwaway. But I'm a huge fan. Played every NG in the past and will be getting this.

Plus not enough rental companies left to really hinder sales. True that some rentals turn into purchases. But, by and large no.
I traded this sucker after 2 weeks.
I could go on about the many issues....including the ones seemingly gamers gloss over. (like clipping...feet sticking through walls due to proning snipers)
But, it really just comes down to an expectation of a game being close to finished before retail. I understand that games this gen are not generally bug free as the past gens. But a level of expectation is reasonable.

The point of all this arguing is that MS has a serious disconnect with it's original intended audience. The future could be a giant MS tower that reaches the heavens....but if it's built on the backs of casuals and kinect....
