Dude, your wrong. Im a tech enthusiast not a fan boy. I have a wiiu and I will buy a ps4 and 720. However which one I will keep depends on which one I use the most. MS, Nintendo and SOny does not pay me to play their systems. So my loyalty goes as far as they are able to entertain me. If you have seen any negative comments toward Sony they were mostly directed at illogical rabid fanboys.
No, that is a bad move. I have owned an 360 for most of this gen. I had a ps3 that I barely played so I gave away. Now, In recent months I was interested in a PS3 to play some exclusives but thought that the Ps4 would be announced soon and it was.
One of my main reasons to buy a ps4 is to play Sonys back catalog. If that's not an option then it takes away one of the major reasons I was interested in one.

If Sony doesnt charge they have less capitol to invest in their online infrastructure and services. THere are a lot of missing components in Sonys free model. Id prefer to pay my 11 cents per day for xbox, hell I find that on the ground most days.

You know people always amp Sony up for exclusives but they really dont sell that well. What games are Sony owners buying? Multi plat? Xbox ate half of Sony's market this gen with way fewer exclusives.
Sony needs to put out less games with more quality and market the hell out of them like MS does.

Totally agree. I have said in the past things have changed. Its not like it used to be where you would buy a console based on games alone. There is a lot to think of now.
Mr Lopez has brought my main reason to the forefront. I have 100 friends on my list. People who I have come to know over the years. I actually consider them good friends as we interact not only on games but our personal lives. I will buy the console solely on that alone.

You made a super subjective comment as is mine but I have numbers to back it up. As mentioned, 8 Mil units sold as an exclusive game is nothing to scoff at. Have any of the Sony franchises even reached that many sales?

You know I disagree. I am a graphics whore so presentations means a lot to me. It puts me into the experience. A game can be graphically impressive and fun. There is room for all types of experiences. God forbid the industry turned into all casual mobile games and vice versa.

I think the fact that we are jumping to next gen is enough of a shot in the arm to keep many interested in this years iteration.
Honestly as I write this I got an epiphany. COD is fine as it is. Its a casual shooter which is easy to get into. I can pop the disk in and have some fun with it. They have a tried and true formula that works. Its a fun game, period. For those of us looking for a hard core shooter we have options.

If you are making comment about my "why is that" question then you need to chill. It was an honest question. I really wanted top know as I didn't see much of a correlation with the article.
But this is the thing, a person has had ps3 this whole gen might not care. I didn't have one so I do. Im not saying i would not buy a Ps4 for this reason but it takes away my urgency to go out and get one. I want to play Uncharted 3, Infamous 2, the last of us, beyond two souls, journey and so forth.
Ill enjoy any new ps4 games but without BC im not rushing out to buy. Period.
