Nice ass. (I think I meant the picture :) )
You're making too much sense! Sounds like you could have written the one part of the debate on the site :)
There had better be reverse compatibility this time...not just for the first console SKU to come out of the factory!
I still want to be able to play my older games I already bought. Sony promised it, and then it turns out my 360 plays more Xbox games and my PS3 doesn't do any!
Power specs! Gotta have a bigger...ummm
Yeah gameplay and story need more focus. How to make better engines with what they've got.
3D looked cool to begin with but the combination of bad publicity on the health front (can't use it longer than 20 min) and lack of games really hit it hard.
Who cares about 3D anyway!
Yeah...new consoles are being announced without being ready with games that really make use of them. That worked in the past, but these days we are a bit more jaded...
Ummm theonlylolking
If you read carefully you would have noticed that I say they didn't come out every 2 years (and that it obviously didn't work financially for console makers to do so).
I probably wasn't clear enough: the idea that we should keep up with PCs means that we'd need upgraded consoles every few years...not on a long cycle like the moment. That is just not going to happen. Who wants a slightly more powerful same console?
Right, so he should save up money to buy a console that will only be good for a couple of years because the rate of progression with tech is so fast that there could be a new console every 2 years!
If this worked financially for game console makers, then they'd have released Xbox 780 and PS4 by now. Not everyone can focus their entire savings on gaming. Some have families and living to pay for.
@ omi25p
I agree. Though I'm no expert it seems that they can always squeeze a bit more out of the systems if they try.
I don't like sitting at a PC to game, and so don't buy PC games.
Resident Evil 4 was one of the best games last gen and hopefully the HD means it looks even better in action.
Only issue I have is why didn't they put the two together? $20 each seems odd to me and like they are milking a bit.
This game looks pretty interesting actually. I never played Black & White but heard it was pretty fun.
AT&T seem very involved in gaming recently...aren't they who Sony has the exclusive deal with for the 3G version of PS Vita?
"Never in Nintendo's history have we dropped a system's trade price so significantly less than six months after launch," the company said in a statement.
"The recently announced price-cut for the 3DS will see Nintendo sell the handheld at a loss according to Bloomberg Japan."

Looks like the author has a point.
It's far from doomed. But Nintendo needs to get 3rd party support quick...and more titles announced.
This is how DLC should be done! Over a year later and still getting single player content.
I think the portables are a different thing to the PS3, personally, but the point that you can't count a big giant like Sony or Nintendo down and out right away is true.
Mind you Sega was a giant, and the PSP GO was a Sony experiment and failure. Sony fans didn't save it.
Nintendo fans won't save the 3DS either because you need more than just the fans to make a success. So it's up to the wider market.
No console or busines...
Edit: this is addressed to AWBrawler. (sorry GoldPS3)
Umm where did it say 'doomed'. It says there are similarities, which it shows, to the doomed PSP GO.
Let's face it, the console isn't doomed at all yet, way too early to call, but it isn't setting the world on fire like everyone thought either.
Well it's good the price is better! But yeah...where are the non-Mario, Pokemon, Zelda games! Resident Evil?
It's funny how the Arcade titles seem to have more colour than AAA releases using what seem to be grey, brown and bluish filters.
It's kind of a nice change. But wow is that PINK!
I do agree with his points about the 3DS though: Nintendo didn't do all they could with it.
