As far as Devs go regardless of how many of them complained at the PS3 at first and are still complaining via Brink devs (PS3 is alien hardware they said) the PS3 has a lot of raw power and Devs are realizing that and utilizing it to create exclusive games like Uncharted, Resistance, Infamous, and so on.
Psycho Mantis from Metal Gear Solid is the MOST creative boss battle of all time. Remember the famous "controller switch"? He recognized controller slot 1 and would "predict" your every move. You had to actually physically switch your controller slots in order to beat him.

My guess is he went with nothing but SSDs from the looks of it and if you get large capacity SSDs well look for yourself. They ain't cheap.

And that's just 500gig. Regular 1TB HDD costs $90...for comparison. So if he got just two of those well he is at $2800 already minus everything else. Again OVERKILL.
By the looks of it he doesn't have much knowledge with knowing computers moreso then have the mentality "let's get the best of the best and throw it together for fun". It is definitely overkill and as stated above, that case can not be enclosed without liquid cooling as those quad sli cards are on top of one another it will overheat fast. Actually I am one of those guys who will not touch multiplayer until I beat the SP campaign on normal or even highest difficulty. I have been doing that for awhile since online started. For example with Killzone 3 when I started MP some people jumped straight into it and owned me but I beat the SP campaign on high difficulty for the fun factor. Same thing with Uncharted, SP first then online. I don't recall ever jumping to play online if a game has a full SP campaign with story and all. Y...

I have to admit if you plan on getting games that will have DLC, spending $50/year will be more then paid for after about 5 DLC's packs or maybe a few more depending on price range.

Portal one was new and challenging and had a lot of extra puzzles via the community. It's still early for Portal 2 as DLC is coming this summer but as far as comparison Portal 2 was easier then Portal but focused a lot more on story and presentation. Not to mention Co-op is tons of fun.
I kind of like this idea situation depending. For example, if MX vs ATV has a lot of content and can keep me busy for quite a few hours going through races and a SP and allow for MP, all for $30 it seems worth it. Then if the DLC adds new modes and extends the gameaplay further then it could definitely be worth it as well. However I doubt that there would be $30 worth of DLC but like I said it depends. Interesting concept though to make games cheaper in the beginning.
Can they show me how to beat the puzzles too? Is that included?
May 3rd MS comes out. Why is it not on the list? Especially over Dead or Alive crap wow...

It seems like very seldom the exclusive content remains truly exclusive indefinitely. Meaning that something you can get from pre-ordering a game at the store is later down the line purchasable as DLC in a pack or something. Still I get your point and it's a pain but I usually stick with Gamestop as they are close and haven't screwed me yet.
Not to mention SuperSaiyan4 was in DBGT which was a crap series compared to the original Dragonball and DBZ.
OT: As @doctorstrange pointed out having the hack and the big earthquake happening within just about the same week let alone the same month would hurt any company regardless of who is head of it. Unforeseen situations such as these are difficult to plan for and deal with. I feel Sony will indeed bounce back but it will take time and effort from the loyal fans.
Perhaps this is as crazy as "You took a hooker to church?"

OT: Looks pretty sweet but man I am getting sick of that song being overplayed in every video now.
In this compared to the other installments Evolution pushed the story a lot more and made the races be about the story. That is why it is included in the review.
