Does World of Warcraft still matter? To the millions that play it on a daily basis, you bet your lazy gamer ass it does. But to someone, like myself, who has absolutely no interest in PC gaming, let alone the time/$$ investment of an MMO....IT DOESN'T MATTER AT ALL.
Bottom line, ANY franchise that can/will average 5-10 million units sold, matters. Maybe not to EVERYONE...but certainly to those it SHOULD matter. Ask MS, Bungie and Epic "suits" if Gears and Halo sti...
Are you really that ignorant, or are you just staying "in character"?
1.) Who's to say it's the SAME 300k people making up that daily average?
2.) It's a 3 y.o. game. Name me ONE PS3 game that's 3 y.o. and has that many people playing it DAILY, on PSN.
Um...Valve is under EA Partners.....has been for most of this gen.
...and it's overuse. EVERYTHING is getting a "reboot" now, it seems, if previous iterations were considered less than perfect...if not truly horrible... by some people. Movies and games alike, it's becoming ridiculous. Reboot apparently means "we admit we made some bad decisions in previous movies/games, so please forget they ever existed, and give us your $$ to start all over again." Just pathetic.
...you really have NO IDEA what OnLive is, do you? :o
...to FAIL.
And at such a ridiculous price....$14.95/mo. WITHOUT THE GAMES...they'll fail faster than expected. LOL...and people complain about XBOX Live @ $4/month.
...Sony truly leads the way in innovation. :o
Well, that makes you like an idiot then, doesn't it? But hey, the internet is full of amateur, ill-informed, wannabe journalists, so at least you're not alone. :o
...well, if YOU'VE never heard of it, I guess it never happened, right? OMFG....what a tool.
Since you were apparently living under a rock last gen, let me give you a little insight to the PS2 DRE problem...
The launch/early PS2s were notorious for the disc drives crapping out, by no longer reading discs. Millions were affected, and Sony's only solution was to CHARGE people to fix it (just like with the PS3). Even after a class action lawsuit, Sony STILL charged con...
...I had the exact same plan. I did the same thing with Fallout 3, because it really made me mad when I realized how much $$ I'd invested in Oblivion ($80 for LE, + all DLC)...and then they announce a $60 GOTY edition. Borderlands is the only game I've purchased the DLC for since Oblivion, and that's because 1.) the game is so addictive, and 2.) I doubt they'll do a GOTY edition for it.
...conveniently left the PS2's notorious disc read error out of the article. Curious that.
...because I'm still enjoying the SP campaign, with my 2nd playthrough. By the time I'm ready to try the MP, they'll have this fixed. :)
But it's still the same freaking demo. I don't care if you download it from another dimension....it's the same 30-minute demo.
....at least they'll break even. :/
...but I purchase and trade my games on Amazon.com
Shhhh....don't tell my manager. :o
That's really what's happening to ALL brick-n-mortar businesses; online retail is sapping the life out of them.
With Amazon, I get my games:
1.) cheaper....even factoring in my GameStop employee discount
2.) with free shipping (I use Amazon so much for many things, I just pay the $80/yr. for Amazon Prime)
3.) release-date delivery on all major r...

There's more than enough daytime footage there to debunk your stupid BS.
...at that comment, coming from a guy with a Killzone 2 avatar...and OBVIOUS Sony fanboy.
Killzone 1 came out nearly 4-1/2 years prior to Killzone 2. Gran Turismo 4 came out Dec. 2004, and GT5 is STILL not here. Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit)...Quantic Dream's last game... came out in 2004 as well; HR didn't make it until nearly 6 years later. I guess you don't care about those games either, since they took just as long to come out. :o
Really? Is that all you got, boy? LOL... I've got a PS3 fatty, and LBP is the only game I've kept....nothing else has any longevity, because PSN SUCKS.
