My do we need Sony to tell us what we need. I like rumble in my games. It is a user interface. WTF next they will say that HDD is last gen, or analog controls are last gen. Maybe we need 4D gaming.
The reason I like the 360 is because it is not the Wii. I don't want a motion controller. I want "M" rated games with blood cusing and killing.

but Sony has billion to gain from Blu-ray. DVD was already rolling when the PS2 launched. After VHS DVD was the only option. DVD's worked on all TV's. Sony's Blu-ray playback it reported to only work on 1080p TV's. Don't get me wrong I plan on getting a PS3. I'm just not a crazed fanatic like some of these other guys are. P.S. PS3 is still expensive for a gaming machine and a movie player. I never watched a $500 or $600 movie in my life.

Who descides this. Gears of War has looked the same since e3-05. R:FOM has looked the same since E3-05. Sometimes developers work on more than just graphics. There are animations, dialog, story line, controls, AI, and other things. I never see big improvements of games over time. There are some cases when shaders and a few textures are added but that's it.

As with Sony in the past you never know until it comes out what you are going to get. The PS3 changed all the time. Sony is trying to save money. You being a "loyal" customer should be all for them saving money. All I care about is playing new games my self. If I want to play xbox games I will play them on a xbox. I like gaming first. Sony used Playstation to trojan horse BR into homes. THe PS3 has a hidden agenda. Sont will do great because of it. BTW, does PS3 BR playback support 720p. I keep reading that it is 1080p only.
