Enlighten me, because i had every Sony console so far, and i certainly dont agree with you.
First time for me i buy a console at launch day to play its games.
For all others i always waited till the second year.
I wonder if the Ps4 isnt as powerful as it claims to be at all.
Sure, we know its an 8 core cpu, and got a nice gpu in it.
But if it generates so little heat, it must mean the cpu isnt as powerful as the one in the X1.
It also kind of shows in the games at launch, the games on the X1 look way better then the ps4 ones.
And its also rumored that ps4 games are only 30 fps.
I am starting to believe that the ps4 contains a laptop cpu, while...
Only haters criticize the X1 at this point.
Its a fantastic device, thats bringing in a record amount of Quality games.
I am looking forward to footage of Black Tusk their IP.
Yeah, rpg's take some time to develop, sooner or later we will be in for more Fallout, Mass effect and Elder scrolls (non online) goodness.
But first the epic conclusion to the Witcher, and ofcourse their other awesome title, Cyberpunk.
The little effort in porting to ps4, goes for games from PC to ps4.
Porting from Ps3 to Ps4 would actually be pretty difficult, as the architectures are completely different.
They are threatened :)
The sony side lost so many exclusives, and such a huge market share during the ps3 days, compared to the ps2 one, that they are looking with fear at the next generation.
Hmmm, the X1 is heading for the best first year any console ever had, in terms of games.
Maybe its just them, cause the X1 is going to rock.
Agreed, i have both consoles, and nothing on the ps3 really stood over the X360 titles.
Marginal differences at best.
They are just stating it would get even hotter if the brick was inside, so they can live with it being outside of the console.
They are not claiming it to be a saving grace, you misinterpret that part.
Ms has been into hardware for a while now, so its safe to say by now, that MS does both soft and hardware.
They even split their divisions a little while ago, into a hardware and software division.
If specifically designed for one pc configuration, then yes it can be easily done, as an 8 year old high end pc is stronger then a ps3.
However, since nobody builds pc games for one specific pc configuration (game would not have enough consumers then), you obviously wont see this happening, and thus games are build to run on software interfaces instead, so all pc gamers can enjoy them.
This costs overhead and indeed makes it very difficult for GOW3 to run on ...
Thing is, if it wasnt exclusive, no one here would be talking about it.
This is another case of quantity over quality.
No, but thats because the PC has a lot more software interfaces that the code has to run trough.
This is causes by the fact that theres so many different pc configurations.
WIthout the software interfaces, gaming would be near impossible on pc;s.
Flipside of software interfaces is that they add overhead, which costs power.
Thats why consoles exist.
Then people shouldnt go and make claims like in the article.
If you go out in the street and start boasting the engine of a volkswagen, theres bound to be someone coming out to boast their mercedes sooner or later.
Action = reaction, deal with it.
Actually, Quenomamen's his argument is spot on.
Yours is just baseless trolling, as we havent seen the consoles in action yet, and the first wave of games show that MS is nothing short on gfx.
@Iceman
MS opened 7 new core studio's the past three years, what do you mean they dont have patience for long term?
They are in it for first party more then ever, instead of relying on third party.
Now i understand why MS said that small games and indy games like Below dont count in the 15 exclusives.
My ranking is different from the video.
GTA5
GTA4
GTA3
Vice city
The rest...
San Andreas... i cant stand ghetto's :P
Actually, the fact that MS never used blu-ray in the 360, shows that blu ray wasnt a necessity at all.
If Blu ray was a necessety current gen, then why are games like GTAV running perfectly fine on the 360?
For next gen i do agree Blu ray is needed, but it wasnt needed last gen at all, and Sony did in fact cram it down people's troath so that Blu ray would have a bigger chance of becoming the standard.
Lets see if its really stronger, if the Ps4 indeed contains a laptop class cpu, which would explain why its smaller, then the X1 will stomp the ps4.
The amount of cores and their clock cycle say nothing about the performance, so we have no idea how strong those 8 cores are, compared to the ones in the X1.
Afterall, their are mobile arm devices with 4 cores clocked at 1.7 ghz, but they get stomped all over by dual core desktop processors clocked on 1 ghz.
